Does the filler need to be painted with a primer when used on a model before being painted with acrylic paints?

This product dries to a similar dull grey to Revell's version, so I would certainly recommend a primer, especially if your base is several different colours after using the filler and/or you're finishing in a light colour. It really does show through less than 3 coats (based on using Halford's white or grey primer). Btw, in my experience it's easier to rub & finish than Revell's product.

Would this be suitable on a resin military model kit or should I use something else ?

Hello I have never used resin but I cannot see any reason filler will not work . With regard to paint I have a feeling it may help to acrillic flat varnish before adding a top coat. Try the filler and paint on an insignificant part of your model so any horrors will not damage the model. Good luck Mark

Why does this product not ship to Northern Ireland, surely it is not flammable or restricted?

Probably Brexit. Despite what Uncle Boris said there are barriers in the Irish Sea. I would advise do not come to England and try to smuggle it into Ireland you could end up in serious trouble
