Pre - Loaded Data SIM Lasts up to 24 months
I bought this to use when on holiday around the UK. Fast delivery from the seller, very simple to set up, I just put it into my TP Link router and away it went. The two years start from the date it is first connected to the 3 network. Setting up an account with 3 so that I could check the data useage was a bit more complicated. You have to use the internet connection of the sim card itself to set it up, once I worked that out it was simple. Just one other thing as with most sims you MUST use it at least once every 180 days or it will expire early. As I intend to have it running as a background backup to my home BB that should not be a problem. As for the 24 months life? well time will tell if thats true. At the price it would be good for ioT stuff as well if you dont want to be tied into a contract. Watch this space for updates later ;-). UPDATE 1: Its been running for over 12 months now and still working well, my expiry is August 2025. As I said above I leave it on and connected 24/7 at home to prevent the sim "expiring". So far very pleased, I will buy another in 2025 as long as its still available and the price is not too high. 5*. UPDATE 2: 19-3-2025, Its now the middle of March 2025 and the sim is still working fine and surprisingly I still have 9GB left, very highly reccomended. UPDATE 3: August 2025 the sim went the full 24gb data amount and I ran it out just a month before the two years were up. Brilliant!

Connecting glitch but now working
The 24gb sim looked like good value but would not connect to data in a tablet or old phone. Eventually I started a chat with Three, and was given the number 500 to call from the sim. They discovered that their engineers had to unlock something, and did this, and it is now working fine in an android tablet and a dual sim phone. If yours does not work Three appear to be able to sort it out. I have not travelled with it yet so canโt comment on that aspect. I have now travelled with this sim and have a couple of observations. 1. I tried to use it as a hotspot from an old android phone and all that happened on the connecting device was a site saying Three was blocking porn. This happened in several countries, and I have not yet had the energy to ask three what that was about. The phone still provided a direct data connection, just no hotspot. 2. I was away for 3 months and used the sim sporadically in various countries. Towards the end of the trip I received a snarky message from Three saying you cannot use the sim outside the UK for more than 2 months without returning to the UK. I did not spot that in T&C, which I thought I had read. I have taken away a star for these travel related issues. It is still reasonable value for the coverage in the countries available

At least the 4G of my Kindle Fire is in use again.
As we are going away for a Spring Break I decided to buy a 3g sim for my Kindle Fire HDX. Some kind person mentioned this sim worked in a Kindle Fire so I ordered a trio one as I did not know which size sim I needed for the Kindle Fire. Our Spring Break is at Minehead first for a few days and then we go on to Devon Cliffs, Sandy Bay for a week. Minehead is ok for WiFi and internet but Devon Cliffs post code EX8 5BT is not. All other coverage maps said "No No" for Devon Cliffs but 3 said postcode EX8 5BT was in the 3% they have not covered but the map shows possibility of 2G in the outside air. This is how I chose 3's sims at least we might have one phone working. I also had just bought a Mobile WFi and found that that needed a standard sized sim so I ordered 2 standard size 3g sims. The standard sized ones were cheaper. When they arrived I discovered had been sent 3 x 3G Trio data cards which were identical so it meant I had paid more than I should for the two so-called standard sized ones as they were the cheaper trios. Now the standard size has gone up to over ยฃ13. Completely confused now I punched out the Nano size out of one of the trio cards and put it in my Kindle Fire and managed to activate it without registering. I put a standard sized sim from another Trio card into the Mobile WiFi and charged it. Of course at home with good internet the 4G Kindle Fire achieves 4G very easily and I found it did the same using the new sim instead too. The Mobile WiFi does not mention 4G in its description but my laptop and a Kindle Fire without 4G worked well on WiFi using the mobile wifi. For a few minutes I put the 4G Kindle Fire on to the Mobile WiFi as well with its own sim out of action and I used all three devices at the same time with no loss of speed etc.. I am still a bit bewildered wondering if I was sent the actual 3 trio sims this review is about or whether I was sent three different trio one. I decided to send for 2 more standard sized sims the ones now priced at ยฃ13-70. and those have arrived as trios identical to the others I already have. My daughter wants a couple for her son's Ipad in case we find Devon Cliffs' WiFi is not as bad as we are led to believe so we decided to order two of these Trio's again at ยฃ12-75 and see what we get sent this time as these still cost less than the others. The mobile wifi and the sim has changed my Kindle wifi devices into 3G models After our break I will add to this review about what internet activity we got for the sims.

I bought this card to use in the US and in Europe. Its suppose to be good for an entire 365 days so we shall see if it lasts until August 1, 2020 (if I use data sparingly) 1. Easy to install. I just popped in the new sim card. Turned on data roaming and in a few seconds I was getting data in the US. I have been using it for 2 days now and it is working flawlessly. 2. I tested out its hotspot capability and my wifes samsung was able to link to my hotspot. So that works too. I will report back and let you know how it performs in the long run...and on my multi country trip to Europe Update. The sim worked flawlessly in the US during the 2 weeks I was there. Once in a while i had to restart my phone to wake it up. Update. I arrived in Germany. I RESTARTED my phone, turned mobile data ON and turned Roaming ON..and I got connected. So far so good. (Update) I am now in Italy and the sim is working although not in every spot. Seems like some of the more remote places like up in the mountains while hiking..no data. But in the city no problems. I stopped into a vodaphone store to price compare. They had a deal...2 sim cards...ONLY ONE month service...lots of data...60 euros. A LOT MORE EXPENSIVE!!! (Of course they are in ludington phone calls which this card does not) (Update) I am in Switzerland and still am getting decent connections in the towns and cities. Forget about signal if you are hiking in the hills or away from towns. It works well enough to watch a YouTube movie. I'm using it mainly for Google maps to find train/bus connections and to Google tourist attractions for info and to message my wife if we ever get sepatated So far so good. (Update) works in Metz France. Poor connection outside city In remote rural areas. When I pass the border into a new country I keep getting text messages saying I have a maximum of 15 gigs of data with this sim. Not the 12 gigs advertised. Not sure which is correct (Update.) Working in Luxembourg and Begium. In Luxembourg ORANGE STORES were selling data only sim cards...9โฌ for 5 gigs for 30 days. So a little better deal than this sim But in Belgium ORANGE was 15 euro for 4 gigs plus 4000sms and 50 mins of calling. So ORANGE was a better deal Works well in Amsterdam Works throughout Spain UPDATE OCT 4, 2021 Going to Europe again so I bought this same 365 day card..12 gigs of data. I tested it in the USA I shut off my Samsung. Removed my old sim Inserted the new sim I just got. Turned my phone back on Made sure mobile data was on And IT CONNECTED RIGHT AWAY. So far so good If it works as well as it did in Europe as it did 2 years ago, I won't have to keep buying sim cards at the end of every month in EU. This card is suppose to be good for One whole Year (total if 12-15 gigs) So if i just use it for maps and sending messages. I should not run out of data even if I am in the EU for 4 months UPDATE DEC. 6, 2021 Just retuened from 2 months in Europe using my newly purchsed sim. I visited 3 countries..Greece, Italy and France and this sim worked like a charm in each country. As soon as the plane landed it texted me to let me know it had switched countries. Its not alwauys fast and occasionally in remote parts of Sicily the connection was poor to none... but it allowed me to buy train tickets, use google maps and google tourist attractions on the go. Now to see how long it will last. Too bad it doesnt work in Thailand which is where I am headed in a month L9ving it

I went to UK, Norway and Iceland recently. the card worked very well in all those three countries. The difficulty came when I tried to activate it following instructions that came with the package. Fortunately, their tech support came to help quickly.

I loved that you can buy it, hold on to it for a while, stick it in when in the vicinity of UK ip space and it just works while in UK. Have to come back here to Germany it still just works with the UK number associated with SIM. If this sim works while I travel thru Europe to other places it might be the most valuable overlooked option available. So nice not needing customer service, take tons of selfies or give a scammed wet dream job all your info just to have a backup sim when you travel primarily for directions and built in apps. No clue if the service is the best everywhere though so I may have gotten ahead of myself because of ease of setup and quality data I'm using to write this very review! Recommend over locamobel or Vodafone so far.
