Hello Please do not worry, that is normal. Whether you add the carbon during fermentation or after, it will turn your wash jet black, this will clear during the finings stage Regards Brad

Hi There You can add after fermentation.....in fact that is the method i prefer. So i ferment fully, rack off, add carbon, de gas, leave for 24 hours, rack off again, add finings, and then leave to clear before final racking off. Regards Brad
