I don't normal bother with reviews but I will for this. I have a 60 litre, soil substrate tank, heavily planted.I tried many different types of siphons, some manual, some electrical, and none of them worked for me. They were either too large to go in-between the plants and rocks, or so powerful that my substrate zipped up the tube and into the awaiting bucket.This piece of kit is ideal for me. It allows you to adjust and manage the flow rate, which means I can tailor the 'suction' so it doesn't pick up my substrate but does suck up the waste Its the right seize to squeeze in-between my plants etc. Its well made, has a filter built in so my fish can't take an unexpected plume ride and it does the job very well - dropped my tanks Nitrates by 20 post clean which is the reason why I bought it10 out of 10 for my tank - only wish I'd bought one earlier

Was sceptical about buying this product and kept my review until I was sure it was a good buy, at first I thought it seemed a good idea, and liked it that you don't have to keep pumping the water back down the tube when a bucket is full you just lift the tubing up into the Aquarium and it stops, then when you continue it still flows out when you return tubing to bucket. Big downside is the material made of cheap plastic and after 9 months of usage it has cracked and now a piece of it has fallen off which has now made it useless as you need a watertight join between the hosing and tap connector for it to operate, otherwise like I found out it spills onto the floor and it stops . So a big disappointment.. maybe the manufacturer needs to go back to the drawing board and come back with a better product and use a better plastic.Good idea but needs some thought into type of sturdier plastic..

I am a beginner fishkeeper and decided to buy this due to great reviews and for ease of water changes. I didn't read the measurements sadly and the tube was far too big for my 6 gallon tank. Instead of returning it and buying a smaller one I just cut the tube in half, filed and melted the edges. it is now the perfect size and works amazing. No need to squeeze just shake up and down to get the water flow going and you can adjust the flow to your liking. This product has really made my new hobby a lot easier.

The connector to the tube was too small to fit in the main unit so it couldn't be used properly - the water won't siphon and the tube won't stay in. An error in manufacturing of this particular one I expect but none the less annoying. I wanted to contact the seller to see if they could send me another connector was there was no option for me to do so, which is a shame as that probably would've sorted it out I wouldn't have had to leave this review.

A bit sceptical about some of the reviews but decided to go ahead and buy! What can I say it's absolutely brilliant I have a 32 litre tank and believe this product would suit a lot bigger tank.arrived very quick and Ok takes some getting used to but once you have the knack works good and if I had to criticise I'd say the tube is a little long but fine. Good product.

Was marked as five stars, now dropped to two. My original one cracked on the tube and I had to replace it. As I was pleased I bought another but the second does not work well at all. The rubber stopper in the syphon tube is to big and therefore does not get the correct suction. I have tried plumbers tape but to no avail. I have to suck on the tube to get any water, which is why I bought this to avoid doing that, and then all I get is a dribble of water, not enough to remove waste. I am really upset as altogether I have spent nearly£15 for nothing. Will be looking for something that works next time. As others have said not worth the hassle of sending back.

I stupidly bought this for a 60l and a 30l. The tube is really a bit too long to get the syphon going without a lot of sloshing and potentially bashing stuff and things. In a bigger tank it's probably fine. Once I did get it going, I found the syphon was a bit hit and miss. Possibly because of the variable flow. I mean it sounds cool on paper but do I need it? No.I have done much better with an air line and medicine syringe. So although the product would be okay for larger tanks, for the beginner or smaller aquarium I'd say not worth the purchase.
