This pack of needles is great to start with when you want to practice doing piercings on yourself or others. Easy to use, they're sterile and nice and sharp!

I used a size 18 on my cartilage. I'll update as time passes, but so far I'm pleased. The needle is very sharp and my jewelry fit well inside the needle. The act of piercing thick cartilage hurt minimally as the needle was very sharp. If you are planning to pierce yourself or someone else, be sure to fit your jewelry into the non-pointed end and then pierce. That way you can pull the needle all the way through without struggling to put the jewelry in the hole. Also be careful because the end is very sharp and I scratched my conch on accident by simply brushing it across the skin.

I used these to pierce my thirds and they worked great! They went through easily and it was practically painless. Also great for placing the jewelry afterwards!

I have a feeling that the gauge measurement is slightly smaller than it’s labeled. But they are sharp!
