This sharpener has quality blades and takes two pencil sizes. The receptacle fills after 5-6 sharpening from half blunt to very sharp pencils. I sketch on long journeys and this is very handy to refresh pencils without the mess. Opening and closing is very smooth and it stays closed un my pencils pouch, so far it has not spelt. It fits in a small hand and it looks very elegant. Very good value for money.

While it probably makes me sound stupid if I say that it took me a while to work out how to use this - a pencil sharpener! In fact you don't put your pencil in the hole as I expected - rather that hole is a hinge and the sharpener swings out from there. Once I worked that out it was fine. I actually have a manual desk sharpener at home which I generally use to sharpen my pencils before I set out, however, you always need to have a portable sharpener on hand while you're out as the desk one is too large for field work. This fits into the kit bag and works well so I expect it will be perfect for emergencies.

I bought this as part of my starting-up drawing kit. So I don't have a great deal to compare it to in the range of more expensive drawing kit. But the sharpener I have used consistently is a two hole metal Staedtler sharpener. Compared to that one, the sharpening capabilities are similar, but a very different experience. The metal sharpener has a great feel. Solid, sturdy, it does the job and feels like it does. The FC one in comparison also does the job, it sharpens pencils really well in fact, but it doesn't have that solid feel. This is most noticeable in how the sharpener is housed in the whole device. It could do with being just that little bit tighter fitting. Its too loose. That means in moves a little when sharpening. And, can come out sometimes if you hold the pencil the wrong way. That aside, I'd recommend it. It gives you a nice little container for your shavings whilst out and about. Or sat in the house without a bin nearby. It sharpens well - I've not had any issues or broken points. And, when folded up, the shavings are very secure. Oh, and it is translucent. So if you want it to match your fold-away eraser from the same range. They are slightly different colours.

Brilliant sharpener for the Faber Castelle 9000 series pencils. It accommodates both the normal sized pencils and also the larger/thicker jumbo 9000 pencil. This latter pencil is ideal for older artists perhaps with arthritis and the sharpener is likewise easy to hold and use. A great addition to the pencil case which upholds the Faber Castelle quality.

I appreciate the thin profile as it means it fits well in a sketch kit. Sharpens when and has internal bin for holding sharpening.

Diese Spitzdose ist praktisch, da Sie für zwei Stiftdicken bestimmt ist und der gespitzte Abfall in dem Behälter aufgefangen wird. Somit fliegt der gespitze Abfall nicht herum. Außerdem ist sie sehr handlich und passt gut ins Mäppchen meiner Tochter, da Die Sitzdose recht klein und nicht so klobig ist. Versand verlief reibungslos und Der Preis ist absolut fair.

Hatten schon sehr viele Spitzer, aber der hier ist unser Liebling. Er ist super leicht zu bedienen und hält auch wirklich "dicht". Somit kein Bleistift Spitzrest im Federmäppchen, der alles grau einfärbt. Die Messer sind schön scharf, sodass die Stifte wirklich ordentlich gespitzt werden.
