Did just the job!Was a bit worried about thickness given previous reviews but it was really sturdy. No it wasn't level but this was easy sorted by bending the stand outwards a little until it sat level.The only reason it would fail to come out the tin is if you haven't greased it properly beforehand- not the fault of the tin! I used plenty of butter and had no issues. As you can see I used it for the body of a rocket cake and it was perfect!

Agree with other reviews that the mould bends when it's hot. I would recommend not touching the mould support when hot as it's so flimsy it just warps. I cooked mine on a baking tray so didn't have to touch it after first mishap! Then it was fine as long as you have a steady hand! I also lined with baking paper which worked well to prevent burning of cake. Good to make 3d cake with but suggest practice cake first

It worked perfectly for me. Made a great rugby ball cake. No problems at all. I was worried after some negative reviews but mine was great.

I used this tin to make a rugby ball cake. I didn't want to incure too much cake waste which I would have if I'd cut it out of sheet cakes. In future I would rather cut it out. The tin was brilliant for the shape but the cake at the edges cooked too quickly (not the fault of the tin) and were quite dry and as the middle is so much deeper it took a little while for the centre of the cake to finish baking. It came out of the tin just fine. I had to use lots of simple syrup to soften the cake up.Great for getting the shape.

Made it in two halves and sandwiched together. Great shape just be careful handling the pan as it has thin walls. Makes a rugby ball about size 5 so realistic.

I was a bit worried that the cake would stick to the tin as I forgot to buy cake release spray but...a good layer of butter got the cake out with no problems. Some of the details were lost but it didn't affect the overall look of the cake. I used a regular 4 egg (using egg weight to determine rest of ingredients weight) and the cake took around 50 mins to bake at 180 degrees. I covered. It with foil after 30 mins to stop it burning and it came out perfect (if I do say so myself!!) hubbie loved it!!

Don’t expect too much from this. It’s a novelty cake tin pressed from thin metal in the shape of an American Football ball (not Rugby Union). It bends easily and is fairly unstable.That said, it’s useful for making a cake shape to carve or cover with icing. I used quick release spray on the tin and a batter made of 250g each margarine and sugar, 300g SR flour, 1 tsp vanilla essence and 5 large eggs baked for 1 hour 30 mins, covered with foil for most of it. It cooked perfectly and turned out easily.

Fab product, cake looked amazing and saves having to carve into shape!

Hat super funktioniert, hat sich auch leicht aus der Form gelöst, habs vorher eingefettet und mit Mehl bestäubt,Bin sehr zufrieden!Preis ist nur etwas zu hoch für das Material, ist wirklich sehr windig die Form, kann sich bestimmt ganz leicht verbiegen wenn man nicht aufpasst.. Und beim blech rausziehen muss man aufpassen dass die Form nicht umfällt, aber bin tzd sehr zufrieden..!Konnte damit Freude machen!

El molde no está mal tiene poca profundidad

Needed this as part of a groom's cake. It was easy to use, Size and shape were perfect, and it cleaned up easily.
