Purchased this as neither my new phone or tablet have a headphone socket. Relatively inexpensive. Fits well over ears. Nice clarity of sound especially when watching films on Netflix. Does what I need it to do

For just over a tenner, these headphones are good; They have deep, defined bass, though it can be a little overpowering at times - would be great for pop/rock type of music, mid and top ranges are nothing special, but ok. The overall sound is fairly balanced; nothing really jumps out except for the low base, though if you have the headphones looser (as you'll probably need to), it sounds a little weaker. The 'cans' themselves have quite a hard, and fairly uncomfortably moudled foam underneath hair-catching fabric, You will find that unless you adjust the size of the headband to make them looser, you can only wear them for a short time - maybe an hour, and you will also be brushing off hair and fluff from the fabric. I believe Sony do a model comparible in price and specs... MDR200 I think - These are ok, though I think the Sonys would be better - they have the leather type cover at least. These headphones do have an enormously long lead though making them usefull if you are on the other side of the room from your music source. I would also add that the build quality is overall good, but the headband feels like it could be snapped rather easily if mishandled

I had high hopes for the Philips Audio SHP2500/10 headphones, but unfortunately, they didn’t live up to expectations. While the long cable is a convenient feature, especially for TV use, the overall sound quality is underwhelming. The audio lacks depth, with weak bass and tinny highs, making it less enjoyable for both music and dialogue. The build quality also feels quite cheap, with a lightweight plastic design that doesn’t inspire confidence in durability. The ear cushions are not particularly comfortable for extended use, and the fit isn’t secure, which can be annoying. While the price might seem attractive, the performance is just not up to par. I’d recommend looking for alternatives if you’re after good sound quality and comfort.

Comfortable fit and great sounds

these headphone are amazing for the price, i purchased them in june 2010 and they are still working perfectly. SOUND quality wise comparing these to headphones such as "beats by dr. dre" which come for around £100 to £250 range i was very satisfied, the sound quality is not just good but the bass is also excellent. the cord is very long which may be good or bad depending on what you are looking for but its been an advantage for me as i can sit at any distance from the audio source. The side speaker holders/drums that cover your ears are hollow which i dont like but then it makes the headphone very light and comfortable, they are also very big, not ideal for wearing outside but still very good as they provide a large surface area covering your your ears fully for optimum sound. there also a volume control wheel on the chord which is great, volume is satifactory on the device. overall the product being sold for this price is a bargain, to sum it up these headphones are cheap with great sound qaulity and perfect for indoor use. i even use these in my music studio. 5 stars for the overall quality and price.

I am daft enough to have wasted good money on 2 pairs of these headphones. They appear sturdy and therefore you expect them to be strong and to last under normal reasonable use. That is all they have had, They have never been dropped or sat upon etc. I found the sound and volume adequate for their stated intended use of watching TV. The problem is with their design and the nasty cheap plastic that they are made from, which is, or becomes, brittle and breaks under normal use - i.e. just by putting the headphones onto or taking them off your head. The plastic in the band that goes over your head just breaks. This hasn't just happened once or twice, but on three separate occasions that I have had to repair them using ice lolly sticks and gaffer tape. As I said, I am daft enough to have purchased a second pair when the first broke but not only will I not buy a third pair - I am so disgusted with these that I will never buy anything from the Philips brand ever again. In the past I have owned a Philips PC monitor and a large screen Philips TV, both of which were extremely reliable, excellent quality and lasted for many years, before it occurred to me to replace them. So Philips WAS a brand that I thought I could trust. If anyone from Philips reads this, you should be thoroughly ashamed of yourselves for ripping off your customers by selling them this appallingly poor quality product. By ripping me off for the cost of the 2 pairs that I bought (about £54.00) you have guaranteed that I will NEVER again buy anything else from the Philips brand. So Philips has lost my custom forever.

I use it for listening to the tv. I have 2. Snugs nicely on my ears. Has a little volume up/down setting and a very nice long cable.

En général, le casque est très bon. Confortable sur les oreilles. Le seul bémol, le son n'est pas très fort. Même avec le contrôleur du volume au maximum, le son est bas. C'est pour cette raison que j'ai mis un 4 étoiles.

Solid sound quality, comfortable fit. The cord isn't too short or too long. I used it for at least a year in the gym before dropping and breaking them. The break was my fault, not the manufacturers. Overall solid construction and a solid product.

Confortable et excellent son. Niveau un peu faible. Mais en le branchant sur un petit ampli il est parfait.

Nulla da dire sono delle ottime cuffie, hanno un cavo lungo, sono comode e ottime nella qualità del suono. La mia esperienza con il prodotto è stata positiva, il prezzo è del tutto economico e sono di buona qualità, li uso in camera da letto per l'ascolto della TV, il sistema di giro completo sull'asse degli auricolari mi permette di usarle dall' esterno, cioè senza mettere l'architetto in testa.
