Very prompt super quick delivery;arrived next day;instead of quoted timeframe of around a week.Binoculars in very good condition with all items as mentioned as well as extension to warranty from standard 6 mths to 12 mths;this was handwritten on order form from store manager.Considering the binoculars cost me around half their normal rrp ie.around £30 instead of £60;I am very impressed with both the excellent exceptional service received from Fraser and also the quality of binoculars themselves.Excellent optics and feature packed binoculars including multi coated optics and being water resistant but obviously not waterproof or fogproof.Regarding the optics at 10 times magnification excellent but obviously as you increase to 20 and then 30 times magnification can see purple colour fringing thus slight degradation but this is to be expected as they are Zoom binoculars;however I would say the optics are still very good even up to 30 times magnification and the image is very lifelike almost 3D;regarding keeping the binoculars steady;I got upto around maybe 15 to 20 times magnification at a stretch relatively smooth image;I'd personally say to use a tripod from around 15 times magnification upwards dependent on how steady you can hold these binoculars.These are the first binoculars I've bought up to this high specification from a quality brand such as Celestron,thus cant compare to previous binoculars of this standard;thus I have assessed the optics by comparing to the optical zoom on my point and shoot Canon and Panasonic camera's and on this basis I would say the Celestron binoculars are on par with my camera's optics;thus I am very impressed with these binoculars.I would rate these as the best binoculars you can buy for under £100 all things considered especially the 10-30 times zoom capability as well as the excellent brand Celestron;as mentioned I bought these for around £30 thus much more impressed with these binoculars.The only binoculars that would be in competition with these would be Olympus 8-16 zoom binoculars around £75 and Nikon 10-22 zoom binoculars around £130 or so but considering these Celestron rrp is around £60 and they have better zoom magnification;excellent brand name for value for money and water resistant build;I would say they are the clear winners based on everything. Update:After using these excellent binoculars over the last couple of month's.I still rate these binoculars very highly for high quality at good value for money.Be aware that these binoculars use BAK-7 Optics same as Olympus binoculars mentioned in review but the Nikon Aculon Zoom binoculars use BAK-4 Optics which are the best grade optics for binoculars;however the Nikon are priced around £130 or so;thus if you were looking to spend this much on Zoom binoculars then I would say Nikon would be better binoculars for sure but obviously at around twice the cost and with less zoom.Both the Olympus and Nikon are multi coated lenses same as the Celestron.In regards to Celestron UpClose G2 10-30 × 50 Zoom Binoculars;I would say the more you zoom the less bright the image is;thus 10 times zoom is with best results however upto 20 times zoom brings very good results in normal bright daylight conditions;upto 30 times zoom can be used but I would say this is best for bright sunny conditions due to lower image quality and loss of brightness of image.In low light conditions I would recommend upto 18 times zoom generally.I would say 18 times zoom is the sweet spot for most conditions to get the best out of these binoculars.Do bear in mind I am comparing the results to Celestron LandScout 8 x 40 Binoculars that are far superior and their list price is around £130 or so;these LandScout Binoculars are not Zoom Binoculars but 8 times Magnification.I did get these binoculars from another supplier at £65 incredibly with only one in stock with this supplier.Thus I am being very picky and critical in regards to what these Celestron Upclose G2 10-30 × Zoom Binoculars can do;as I'm comparing them to very high grade Celestron LandScout 8 × 40 Binoculars;technology wise;as this isn't a fair comparison due to much better features and technology with Celestron LandScout Binoculars;it's just to put the Celestron Upclose G2 Zoom Binoculars in perspective.Thus to summarise I still rate these as the Best Zoom Binoculars you can buy for under £100.I just wanted to give you an update and in particular limitations of the Celestron Zoom Binoculars after using them for approx 2 month's.Now the price has reduced to £50 on Amazon thus they represent even better value for money for excellent relatively light weight binoculars all things considered;especially with the 10 to 30 times Zoom capability.

My dad had a pair of binoculars similar but not the same brand as these. I remember they were fun to use, but when he died I was not sure where they went. So when I saw this pair of binoculars on Amazon I knew they were a must-have for me. When I put my order in I was expecting delivery to take a few days because that's what was estimated on the order, but to my surprise, they arrived the next day. I must say though that the first set came and there was a lens loose, so I was a bit disappointed, but I didn't have to worry, Celestron had an email sent with a return label and a second pair was on its way. I got them today, the very next day, so fabulous service. When I opened the package this pair was rock solid, no issues. The controls were easy to use, so I could get them to focus well at 10x magnification, they adjusted well to my own sight requirements. When I zoomed to 30x magnification the image seemed to be a little double vision but pulling out to 25-26x magnification the image was just as sharp as at 10x magnification. (I probably still have to get used to them). However, they are a massive improvement on the old Pentax 10x magnification binoculars I have and these Celestron binoculars will get plenty of use. I am very pleased with them.

They are ok but I compared them to a set of nikon and the nikons were just a little better for me. Still these were cheaper and ok.

I sadly lost a similar pair of Olympus Binoculars and so these were planned as a replacement using some Amazon vouchers I got from family for Christmas. I wanted a zoom function and plan to use them mainly at the lakeside for bird spotting and in my garden which is about 30m long. These are perfect size and really zoom in close for birds in the garden that are more then 15m away. They are also great for long distance across the lake. Picture quality seems really clear and they feel reassuring study. They come with a case and protective eyeglass and lens covers and are what I would describe as medium sized. Not small enough for a side pocket of a rucksack but not too heavy to carry on a walk or fit into a glovebox of a car. I would say a good all rounder.

I'm very disappointed in these binoculars as they are of very poor design and the optics are some of the sorriest I've ever came across. For a start when you look through the binoculars it's very hard to see what you are pointing them at as the eye peices are hindering your vision due to the size and shape. The right focus wheel/lens will not allow you to focus the optics properly so when you peer through them your right eye is always out of focus and blurred and the main focus wheel works to a degree but when you use the zoom and have it at full zoom the focus wheel will not go far enough so it's always out of focus. I feel so let down and it's true what they say "You get what you pay for" !!!

I have to admit - I bought this with some hesitation as I'd read many reviews here and elsewhere before embarking on my first binocular purchase and there were warning signs regarding cheaper Celestron (and other brands) who tend to source prisms and lenses from lower quality manufacturers, where glass composition or processing may result in optical defects, reduced refractive index and/or clarity. The good: from my (limited) use these would perform great as non-professional day-time use, e.g. birdwatchers, etc. The bad: my intended purpose was for night time use stargazing. As per other reviews I've struggled with image ghosting, clarity and getting both lenses to correctly focus. For the price I think this is a fair product, but if - like me - you're looking to do some stargazing and get some decent views of planets I'd suggest you may wish to increase your budget - after all, you get what you pay for... and decent optics are not cheap!

I am no expert by any means but say as I find and I find the binoculars excellent. They are very strong but lighter than I expected so use in the countryside should be fairly easy. The lenses give a very bright and clear image and used with a tripod is perfect for wildlife watching. The price is fantastic i n comparison to there out there as well. Technically I can not comment but from a users point of view I find them excellent.

I bought this for a safari holiday in Zambia with the family. I normally like to research and buy good quality equipment that will last many years, but as I did not envisage tasking another expensive safari holiday any time soon I looked at the budget end of the spectrum. i owned one decent set of binoculars but assumed that as there would be 4 of us on the trip that i needed more. So I bought 2 similarly spec'd budget Binos of which the Celestron was one. They were both similarly priced and both performed as well as each other. So the review itself? Well I cannot fault these budget binoculars, they were simply excellent. If I had purchased another well-known pair that cost three or more times the price, I very much doubt that I would have been able to discern any difference.

Like it was clear good ... Earlier unit I returned as the unit has a crack and double vision.

I was looking for an all in one set of binoculars and for the price these are ok. There is a catch if you are looking at these. Good views 10 to 20 but field of view is reduced. Anything above that is gonna be hard to deal with. I was experiencing double images above 20X and could not get them to merge the image. The other problem is image was not as sharp or as bright. So I’m gonna return mine and go for the mid range 12x60mm. I have a really nice 20x80mm for long range and a set of 7x50mm for short range. So I’ll have to break down and spend to get the mid range.

Il binocolo celestron 10-30x 50 risulta molto maneggevole in quanto il rivestimento è di gomma ed Ha un peso leggero. Luminosità: Il binocolo ha una luminosità buona , in quanto l'ho confrontato con un binocolo konus 8-24x 50 preso dall ottico. Ovviamente aumentando lo zoom la luminosità diminuisce... ma il suo lavoro lo fa egregiamente. Prezzo: Il prezzo per me è perfetto, avendo comprato un binocolo di potenza inferiore al triplo del prezzo un paio di anni fa. Qualità: La qualità dei materiali è ottima, bella al tatto e soprattutto molto resistente e inodore. Per la qualità delle lenti posso dire che sono ottime, l'unica cosa che mi stupisce è il peso. Il mio binocolo è pesante il doppio ma confrontandolo posso dire che le lenti sono di qualità. Zoom: Lo zoom è reale, ho fatto il confronto con il mio binocolo. Posso dire di essere soddisfatto. Messa a fuoco: La messa a fuoco è perfetta, dico ciò perché porto gli occhiali e con il mio vecchio binocolo non riuscivo a compensare la mia diottria in quanto era abbastanza alta. Con questo binocolo anche essendo miope e un po' astigmatico riesco a vedere perfettamente. Consiglio: Quando mettete lo zoom non muovete la messa a fuoco perché rompete la levetta dello zoom. Lo so perché io così ruppi un mio binocolo. Per me questo è il Binocolo ideale per vedere le montagne, la natura qualche aerei che passa...

simply amazing, 10x is already quite enough for what i was looking for but 30x is like looking at birds in the eyes. mechanism is simple and intuitive, although at 30x, it feels a bit narrow in vision. its lightweight and easy to carry, but strap of the bag could have been longer. i wish it also had a tripod mount for extended use so that we can mount it on a monopod. build quality is quite good and it looks like it can handle rough usage in field. definitely recommended.
