Silverline Magnetic Parts Tray 150mm (871414), Silver

As a PC building hobbyist, I recently purchased the Silverline 871414 Magnetic Parts Bowl/Tray, and I must say, it has quickly become one of my favorite tools. This 150mm bowl is perfect for holding screws and small parts during PC builds. Perfect. Does exactly what it's designed to do. I bought this to use for car maintenance and repairs when there are lots of nuts, screws to be dismantled and kept. Though this came in really handy when doing a battery swap on a MacBook pro. The tiny little intricate screws firms stuck to the plate saving me having to root around for them later if I popped them into a box of jiffy bag. The plate is surprisingly big, 15cm in diameter, that I created quadrants where each screw bits could be easily segregated. It has a great rubberized base which is non marking. Pros - Strong magnetic field. Its strong enough to even hold the metal ruler straight with a thin point touching the outer rim (see picture) - Large surface area (15cm diameter) - Rubberized base Cons - None so far :) Hope this helps

I bought this with an iFixit kit for a friend who runs a tech review channel on Youtube. He regularly builds and dismantles computers, and works on DIY projects. There are always screws or other metal components involved which roll around freely on normal worktops. This dish is the easy answer to that - no more lost screws. It's super simple, and a very affordable addition to any toolkit. The magnet strength is just right, keeping small metal objects secure but not impossible to grab when needed. I definitely recommend this if you or someone you know is regularly working on computers, cars or other projects where you need a secure place to store your small metal bits and pieces.

Great product that does exactly what it says on the tin. Looks great new but use it once and you can see that what ever you put in it will scratch it, so it wont stay mirror finish for too long, but who needs that anyway. Strong magnet, holds a decent amount of screws/nuts/bolts/washers etc I pressumed quality would be average or less due to the low price. Happily though it is of great quality and cheap. Winner

Having disassembled everything from cars, washing machines and computers in my time, I have always used the nearest possible receptacle for screws, washers etc. Washed, take away food containers, aerosol lids, old mugs, you name it, it has been pushed into service at some point. This little tray is so useful. Not only is it quite heavy, preventing it inadvertently being knocked off the table by the cat, it is also quite strongly magnetic, sufficiently so to magnetise small screws that were not previously so. A real godsend when replacing screws in awkward places. Highly recommended, wish I'd bought one years ago. Just don't put in on top of your hard drive or 3.5" disk collection.

Can’t speak highly enough about this bit of kit. The quality of the build is genuinely impressive. Powerfully magnetic so that you can attach it to your car or any metal surface at any angle. Even upside down. A high quality rubber base prevents it from scratching the surface of whatever you’re attaching it to without dulling the magnetic attraction of the base. And it holds everything you’re using from tools to screws. An absolutely critical addition to any tool shed.

One of the best things I have ever brought. I have started to mess with my car more now, for example, servicing it myself every year and doing maintenance checks. For all the time you lose screws and other bits, or spend ages trying to get them from a tight corner. This tray saves a lot of time and effort. it is small, but big enough to hold all your bits whilst you complete a job. This has also become a favourite for my dad. It is sturdy with a magnetic dish and a rubber base. I wouldn't be without it now. I will say however that when it came. It was not Silverline as stated on Amazon, but another make I have not heard of. Nevertheless the dish hasn't let me down yet.

Handy for the car diy

Compré este artículo ya que llevaba tiempo detrás de algo así pero nunca me decidía. Es super útil tanto para reparaciones del teléfono móvil y que los pequeños tornillos no se te escapen, tanto como para las veces que me gusta meterle mano a la moto, ya que es muy práctico tenerlo a mano pegado al chasis y con todos los tornillos controlados. El poder del imán es bastante alto, suficiente para sujetar llaves Allen y destornilladores en vertical, incluso un llave inglesa no muy grande sin problema. La garantía de por vida también en algo a valorar.

very powerful magnet, that is a must have in every workshop. the only issue with this product is that i don't have enough of those.

Premesso che ero un po' scettico verso l'utilità di questo oggetto, mi sono preso del tempo per valutarlo. ORA NON POSSO PIÙ FARNE A MENO. Detto ciò passiamo agli aspetti pratici, come nella descrizione è un porta minuterie magnetico, sia sul vassoio che sul esterno per poter essere applicato al mezzo o al banco se necessario. Il potere magnetico è eccezionale, sia per fissarlo, sia come tenuta per le viti e quanto altro si smonta. Le dimensioni sono il giusto compromesso tra capienza e accessibilità, passa discretamente bene in qualsiasi posto e si fissa in maniera comoda e sicura anche in spazi ristretti. Lo utilizzo ormai sempre nelle riparazioni auto e nel restauro di auto/motoveicoli per tenere tutto quello che smonto. Prodotto davvero eccellente, ottima fattura, ottima resa e davvero insostituibile. Indispensabile su tutti i fronti, CONSIGLIATISSIMO!!!

Aucun soucis. Retient très bien toutes les vis. Ca évite que les vis s'envolent lorsque malencontreusement on tape dans le récipient. Devrait être indispensable pour tout bon bricoleur. Juste un bémol, la coupelle est trop petite pour ranger et compartimenter les vis afin de se rappeler de quelle manière les remonter lors par exemple de la dépose des carénages d'une moto. Mis à part ça, le produit est parfait. Je n'ai rien à gagner mais si vous avez trouvé ce commentaire utile, appuyez sur "OUI". Cela fait toujours plaisir de se savoir lu... ;-)
