Q: Hi, it doesn't actually state which nib sizes are in this set, the photograph shows 0.25, 0.35 & 0.5 - can you confirm these indeed the 3 sizes?

Yes, they are 0.25, 0.35, 0.50 and the pencil is 0.50.

You should never insert a cartridge if you don’t plan on using the pen. The ink may now be no good. Did the ink reach the tip of the nib when you inserted it back in may? Try removing the cap and shaking the pen from left to right vigorously for 30 seconds - not up and down. It often takes a while for it to get going. If nothing happens try shaking another 30 seconds. If still nothing happens you will have to clean the nibs.

Q: My 0.25 rapidograph seems to bunch up with ink at the nib when held upright - the ink seems to just continue to flow. Is there an issue with the pen?

Yes it sounds like a nib issue. Try giving the nib a clean by removing the cartridge and rinsing the nib under a running tap and shaking it up and down until the water runs clear. Then dry it on kitchen roll until the whole nib is clean. Give it a bit of time to dry and then re-assemble the pen. if it continues to bleed ink then I would return the set or look for a new nib on eBay. You can often pick up a whole pen for the same price though. Also note that you need a good smooth surface for these nibs like Bristol board, if you use them on any paper with texture you are likely to get tiny pieces of paper in the nib, which can lead to the problem you have had.

Q: Are the inks waterproof ?

Rapidograf ink is 100% waterproof, I don’t know what the other replies to this question are talking about. I have been using these pens for over 25 years and not only is the ink waterproof but it is also the blackest ink you will find.
