Best Mouse Traps
Caught the mice straight away. These are the best mouse traps. Easy to use. A top tip is to use a Snickers piece as bait. The mice love the sweet peanut flavour!

A necessary but effective way of dealing with small rodents.
These are traditional rodent traps. They work well as long as you take a few simple steps. Place them where the rodents are likely to have an established run. Don't handle the traps too much. This is to ensure they won't have too much human scent on them. Use a bait that is tricky to remove. I found that pieces of a sticky caramel sweet worked well. Finally, try to set the trap so that the slightest thing will set it off. These little rodents are light footed. I noticed droppings on the bench in my garage and felt I had to set traps to protect valuable material. These traps have been very effective, while I am working on preventing the rodents from getting in at all. I would show a photo of both traps being successful (you know what I mean) but it would breach the community guidelines.

Does what it says on the tin
I bought these as I have recently had my first infestation. Living in London you are never more than 5 feet away from a rat as the saying goes. They are excellent. Old fashioned is the way to go. However not for the faint of heart. With the adult mice it killed them instantly, just a corpse, which you then dispose off. The baby mice is a different story. When the hammer spring came down it didn't just kill the mouse, it obliterated it. This was not a problem with the adults. So be prepared to pick up fragments of baby mouse if you get these. I started using Chocolate spread but had no luck. I then moved to jam and then later peanut butter. Peanut better seemed the work the best. They can be a little tricky to set if you have had no experience with these kind of traps before. After 20 minutes and a few bruises later I managed to get them set with no trouble. Ended up catching 7 mice in 3 days. Definitely recommend, but there is a chance your mice will explode if they are small.

Simple and effective - if your mice are stupid
These good old fashioned traps are very sensitive to pressure (obviously that's the point!) so it can take a bit of practice to actually set them without triggering them yourself. I found that heavier baits made this more of a problem as it weighed down the pressure pad and made it more difficult to set the trap. Once I got the two traps set with quality street chocolates (left over from Christmas) as bait, I was pretty pleased to catch 3 mice in the first 48 hours. I'm sure all were killed cleanly and instantly but one was quite badly 'messed up' leaving a pretty gory clean up job, and I'm not very sensitive about these things. I would therefore not recommend these for the faint-hearted. However, the real issue is that my mice grew wise to these traps very quickly and for the next few days, despite trying different baits and trap positions, they kept managing to take all the bait off the trap without setting it off. Only once more did a trap even get triggered, but without catching anything. I realised that in fact these traps had gone from helping to making things worse, as all I was actually doing now was feeding the mice (and therefore encouraging them) without catching any. At this point, I stopped using them and bought the Electronic Mouse Killer by the same manufacturer to finish off the job. This proved to be very successful, more humane and not gory/messy at all, so I guess this would be my recommendation. In summary, these simple traps do work but in my experience the success is only short lived. Might still be worth a try as a cheap solution to a minor mouse infestation.

Excellent
Plenty of mouse traps advertised but if you want ones that really work it’s Little Nipper Nothing beats them

Do not work
Not fit for purpose. One of the two is impossible to set as it just falls back off the arm. The other we eventually managed to set, checked in the morning and the bait was gone but the trap hadn’t gone off.

A quick and deadly trap
I persevered for a couple of weeks with humane traps without success. After setting these traps two mice were caught within an hour. An excellent product!

Muy efectivos para esos ratoncillos de campo pequeños que se cuelan en los garajes, y que personalmente me dan mucha repulsión. Funcionan muy bien.

Terrible trap
Terrible, mouse can just eat off the trap without going off. Tried several different types of bait

One trap missing a metal pin
Only one of the traps was working, not worth the effort returning it...
