Philips SC2007/00 IPL Lumea Prestige Hair Regrowth Prevention System for Face and Body

I thought long and hard about buying this product. I have stuffered with my pale skin and dark body hair for years and always hated it. Have always shaved my legs, but they were always left sore and itchy so hated the whole process. I later tried waxing but didn't find it a solution as I was left with a rash.I was scepical of how effective this would be. I have had the product just over two months. if I am honest i have not followed the instructions exactly. I have used it on maximum setting every week. I have also gone over areas a couple of times in one setting.I noticed a difference straight away. I now have no visible hair on he top of my legs and the edges of my bikini line. These fell out after about 6 weeks. the lower half of my legs have a 70%ish recursion of hair growth and the fair seems slower growing and finer.The zap of laser does sting a bit in places ... but is nothing compared to the pain of waxing!!!I am pretty sure that I will have smooh legs within the next few months. BUT honestly, if this was the final result I would be thrilled! I no longer feel that my body hair is a problem. When I do shave my legs it is not linger painful and I can do it quickly.For me it seemed expensive, but this is in fact a dream product and well worth the money.

Purchased in early aug 2016. Have pcos and as a result very thick hair growth on chin and upper neck and finer but still noticeable growth on sides of face and lip. Was getting quite distressed - not great for confidence. was prescribed a cream by gp a couple of years ago for chin and neck. €60 for approximately 3 month supply. Little noticeable difference but was afraid to stop in case things disimproved further! Tried waxing. Poor results as very quick return of hair. Tried other home hair removal system when younger but no effect and awkward to use. Used to pluck chin hair but in last year had to do this every single day and still unable to clear them all. Was resorting to shaving and there was regrowth by end of day even with use of prescribed cream. In desperation purchased the lumea. Patience is the key. It took a while to notice results and I felt it was not going to work. But 6 weeks in and the results are really good. Ive only used it on.my face, chin and neck so far. Growth slower and much lighter. Hardly noticeable anymore. I use it weekly which is more than recommended but have no ill effects. I have pale skin and dark hair. I use the highest setting. Very easy to use once you get used to positioning it correctly. I have no pain or even discomfort and no redness afterwards - I think is why I worried initially that it was not working!!! There is just a flash of heat and light. Not at all uncomfortable and I have really sensitive skin. I can still feel some regrowth under the skin on my chin however it's not noticeable to the eye even up close to the mirror. Rest of face really improved, including my upper lip. I would hope that continued use will further improve. I think, given my condition, I may have to continue to use the lumea more frequently than others might. But perhaps not - time will tell. For now it's so nice to feel some smooth skin on my chin after years of embarrassment, heavy make up and scarf use! Have stopped using the prescription cream so saving money on that. looking forward to tackling other areas soon! Would highly recommend this device. Certainly working for my pcos facial hair so far _ when everything else failed. Just have patience with it!

I had been wanting to buy this for a very long time but the price meant it was a little out of reach however on an Amazon daily deal it was half price and so made it an instant yes for me.Due to a medical condition I have excess hair growth on my face which is upsetting. The Lumea is great for hair removal as it will eventually rid you of hair in unwanted areas; face, arms, legs etc. Because it is so easy to use and quite simply fuss free it makes hair removal quick and simple so much easier than waxing and a lot less painful! I have started using it on my facial hair and have been for a few months and I am already noticing a difference. I would recommend the Lumea to anyone who is fed up of waxing or cannot stand the pain.It comes with a nice case to store in and there is heads available to change for more sensitive areas such as the bikini lineIt is so quick and pain free there is no excuse not to buy.

I've used this since end of December 2015 (it's now mid-March 2016) and it's been a slower process than I expected. The product description says result after 8 weeks, using it once every two weeks. I've used it weekly since I started and it's not until now I'm seeing good result. So basically, it works well but takes a bit longer time. I have fair skin and dark hair, I know it also depends on the hair growth cycle of when it's most effective but I find it very difficult to know when I'm in the 'correct' cycle, so I've been using it once weekly.My biggest issue is the battery, it doesn't last long and I need to charge once or twice between areas (takes a good hour or two to fully charge). Normally I can do both lower legs and begin on a thigh before it runs out of battery and needs to charge again.
