Could I use this for wax?

Hi, I’m not familiar with working with wax but as long as you use a release spray like with resin I’m sure it will work the same.

Mine did not come with instructions. I have never done resin items before and i dont know where to start. Do i need to buy anything else?

So these are just molds. You need resin as well. There are many different brands of resin. Some are poured at a ratio of 1 to 1 while others are 2 to 1 or even 3 to 1. I personally use the 1 to 1 as it is easiest for me. I would start with a small batch so you can learn how to mix and use it. You can add mica powders, acrylic paints, or alcohol inks to the resin to color it. Once you have it stirred all the way you would then carefully fill the molds. It takes 24 hours for most resins to cure. There is also going to be air bubbles so you need a way to get those to come to the surface. You can use a heat gun, creme brulee torch, or spray it with some isopropyl or denatured alcohol.

What are the dimensions of the checkers pieces? How thick/tall? How wide?

The checkers are about a quarter of an inch thick.

Da artigiana che lavora spesso con la resina, ho analizzato questo kit con occhio critico. Gli stampi sono di un silicone di buona qualità, con una finitura interna lucida che riduce drasticamente i tempi di post-lavorazione. Pro: I dettagli dei pezzi degli scacchi sono molto nitidi. Anche i pezzi più complessi si sformano senza troppa fatica. Contro: [Inserisci qui se hai trovato difetti, es: la scacchiera richiede molta attenzione per livellare bene i colori]. Consiglio tecnico: Per i pezzi piccoli, versate un velo di resina e passate uno stuzzicadenti nei dettagli per liberare le bolle prima di riempire lo stampo. Nel complesso, un set eccellente sia per chi inizia sia per chi cerca stampi duraturi
