Perfect medium sized tank for my tadpoles!
I recently saved some tadpole eggs from my yard and needed to put them in a tank so they could have more room for growth in a safer environment. I love this tank for it's size, sound level, easy access/assembly, and the light is a nice touch too. I had a sun light already so I primarily use that for them to keep them warmer but the light that came with the tank is nice too, though less bright and warm for the tadpoles. The filtratrion system is lovely and easy to use. My only qualm with this product is that in order to use the filtration system you have to nearly fill the tank up to the brim with water to do so. I can't use it regularly seeing has to how I need it for fresh water tadpoles. They can't be in water that is too deep and when they're legs come out they won't have any space to climb for oxygen. I keep the water about 1/3rd the way filled and rotate fresh rain water in every few days. A couple times a month I do use the filtration system and fill it up and let it filter the water more for several hours before remover most the water again. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.

Buyers Beware! This is a badly designed plastic tank!
First of all, this is a plastic tank, NOT glass! Secondly, the design of the valve to control water flow is bad. If you lose power or somehow the filter stops running, water will back siphon through the tubing and will be all over your counter/table - this is probably the leaking problem some reviewers complained about. It may not be leaking through the edges of the tank but from the tube. If you donโt mind the quality and appearance, you should put the end of the tube inside the tank. Donโt let it hang outside. Thirdly, huge bubbles gather below the filter box and are quite loud when they pop every few seconds, stressing my fish. Iโm not sure if the bubbles will eventually stop, as Iโve already disconnected the tank and bought a much nicer 3 gal glass tank with full kit for from a local pet store for $10 less. Glass tanks are just so much more beautiful. Lastly, the light is way too bright. I donโt think the fish and live plants would like it except for algae!

Small but wonderful
I got these for my bettas, I have 4 of these tanks all over the place. I love how it brings air from out of the tank into the water. I've had 2 for 3 months and no problems. Set up can be a little hard. Its like all the piece don't want to fit. Just a little work and its worth it.

Nice Desktop Aquarium
Pros: Quiet, compact, easy-ish to assemble (more below) Cons: Lid does not stay open easily after assembly, filter flow is slightly too powerful for betta Comments: Overall, the tank was easy to assemble and instructions were pretty clear. The red, white, blue lights really make my bettaโs colors vibrant; which I love. However, the piece that goes where the air flows in to the tank from the pump was IMPOSSIBLE to put on. This could be partly why the flow/current is so strong. My betta seems to understand to go around the current, but it took him a few times of being whisked away before he learned. I would also recommend lowering the air valve intake, as that made my filter SOOOO much quieter. I have only had this product for a short time, so time will tell if the filter holds up.

Itโs okay, but not the best.
This tank is OK for the price, but I have a few issues with the design. First, the lid does not come completely off as advertised in the description. This makes the tank a little bit more challenging. And I only have about 2 inches diameter to fit in objects. Itโs pretty quiet and the light looks nice but it doesnโt produce much heat so youโll still need a heater. Just as with some of the other reviews, the directions werenโt the best, but anyone with half a brain could figure it out based on the photos. The air pump came kinked in a few places. It still works fine but I worry about the longevity of this product. UPDATE: DO NOT BUY THIS. IT LASTED 4 MONTHS AND NOW ITS DEAD, THE PUMP STOPPED WORKING

Adorable but such an impractical design. Pump and lights also prone to failure
Pros: Adorable. Glass. Curved edges. Built in lights and pump for filter and aeration. Cons: Narrow opening and non removeable filter setup makes maintenance difficult. Pump is too strong for a betta. Pump and lights both prone to failure within months. The "built in" features do not make this tank any easier to maintain, only harder. Cheaper Price = bigger pain. If Budget is not an issue, I recommend the Fluval Spec III 2.6 aquarium. I don't know why they call it 2.6 because it is actually over 3.5 gallons. The filter also needs a sponge modification to be suitable for a betta or else only turn the filter on for short periods to prevent overly stressing the fish. I have 4 of these Pondon tanks in 1.7, 2 and 3 gallons. It's been about 6 months since I bought the first one. The opening to the tank is very small, you can barely fit your hand in to set plants or decorations. The plastic molding for the filter pad is built in. They need to redesign so it lifts out because apart from decorating, it makes water changes and maintenance very difficult. I went up in size every time I reordered, hoping the extra space would be more manageable. Naturally the 3 gallon is the easiest to work with and is the only one I would ever recommend. All of my tanks are planted so I can't just take the whole thing to a tub and blast water in to clean it, but it's too small to maneuver a siphon around inside. I have to fill the tube with water from the sink then try to block the end and flip it quick so it doesn't loose it's prime. The tanks have such a small opening that it takes a few tries to get he siphon working. The tank needs a deeper base dimension so you can get your hand inside at any angle. I also should have waited some time before reordering. If I had waited, I might have realized that the pumps and lights tend to quit after a few months. Of the 4 tanks, only 2 still have working lights, and only one pump is still working but the hum has been getting louder for weeks so I expect that one to fail soon too. Another pump still moves water through the air regulator but isn't strong enough to drip onto the filter pad. The pump siphon has an open bottom that is supposed to sit under the substrate. This hides it and slows the intake, however the filter output is too strong for a betta, which is about the only fish appropriate for a tank this size. The intake also sucks up sand so I don't recommend sand as a substrate in these. I tried to modify some with sponge filters around the intake to slow the filter and leave the sand out, which seemed to help but those pumps ultimately failed anyway.

After researching all 5-10 gallon tanks for hours, this is the best by far
It is the perfect aquarium for this size range. Absolutely looks and feels like it is real glass (disagree with other reviewer) and is super clear with beautiful rounded corners. The integral opaque top with light is much better than the competing name-brand rounded glass corner aquariums because the light is only inside the water and not bouncing off some added top glass into the room. The bottom joint is beautiful and not just a sloppy silicone seam like the competitor rounded corner tanks. Pump is quiet and works great. Light is good. I planted micro sword so I removed the original light and installed a 10 W brighter light for them for $10 (double sided foam tape to the inside of the top) , but is not required. I also put in a heater for $10. I put in a 20 lb bag of Eco-Complete Planted Aquarium Substrate as a deep substrate gravel bottom to reduce need for water changes. It is a very well thought out aquarium. We have 5 neon tetra and 1 betta fish. Everyone in the tank looks happy.

Itโs a nice lil fish tank
Iโve had the tank for a year. Iโve liked it just fine. I have only kept a beta in it. I named him Space Cowboy. I also have a moss ball name Ganganster of Loveโฆthe snails name is Maurice. I took them out of the tank while I clean it. I added a better light a better filer pad. A bubbler and a heater.

Not Glass. Apparently Acrylic. UK plug causes issues.
Contrary to the description and the pictures, this aquarium is not made of glass. It seems acrylic. Also, there are some cable management issues due to the UK plug being too big for the design. It seems to have been only designed for other smaller plugs causing the water pump to tilt. Looks and feels flimsy.
