Wonderful book, with lots of inspiration. Suitable for all abilities, even beginners and near-beginners.

Disappointed as no diagrams! Why write a modern crochet book and not include diagrams? In my opinion, a diagram is worth a thousand words! You only need to take one look at it and you can grasp the whole pattern in a second, making crochet fun, not a chore of instructions to decipher!

The projects in this book are easy to work up and directions for all items are very easy to follow.

There are some very nice patterns in here, although I did find errata almost immediately in one of them. (Instructions read: work 3 ch, 1 dc in ring, join with sl st (12 dc). There is no way 3 ch and 1 dc = 12 dc. Obviously there are several dc omitted, but I haven’t checked to see if there are any others. (Easy enough to remedy for anyone who already knows how to crochet, but confusing for a beginner). So, with reservations regarding that, I suggest you read the instructions through before starting a project, just in case. Very good otherwise, but this is why I’ve rated it 4 stars instead of 5.
