Wow!
Loved this book. From my past of playing Warcraft 3 and World of Warcraft, this brought me back to an epic tale, but now with emotion and detail. Wonderfully written, and I could see it all in detail whilst the story was unfolding. Great Read

Great book
My expectations to this book were quite high - and Christie Golden fulfills them gracefully. It was one of those books I opened and only reluctantly closed when every page was turned. Truly a shattering read, such as the story often is with Arthas. Golden lets you fall so deeply in love with Arthas' charm and good heart that even after all the evil he has done as the Lich King, killing him is heart breaking. Also, worth adding is that the recognisable conversations from the Warcraft III champaign made my heart swell with warm nostalgia.A wonderfully frustrating book that I'll recommend to anyone, and of course especially those interested in Warcraft lore.

Great condition, but not my favourite WoW read
Christie Golden is a genius, especially when she gets to write her own and not by an exact guide.EX: Jaina Proudmoore Tides of War is a 5 star book for me. Emotional story that you just can't put down.I found the Arthas book hard to push through. It starts with Arthas as a child, and builds up to him becoming the Lich King. That part only begins about 200 pages in, so don't expect much of his evil side. Christie had to follow an exact story we've already seen in the game. If you're a diehard LK fan, or haven't played the games - yes this book is great. If you just like CG and play the games - I don't recommend.

Great wriying as ever. Fills in the back story of the greatest Lich King Azeroth ever with familiar characters from World of Warcraft.

One of my favourite characters here and shows his transformation during he period of WC3. I'm a fan of Christie Golden and she writes well (better than the other authors of WoW books). My only complaint is that key moments in this book feel a little rushed. She does labour the point a little bit about Arthas and Jaina's relationship and although very important, yes, I feel other key moments in Arthas' change in mental state and shift to lunacy were described as a given that every reader had played WC3 and the 5 mans in the Caverns of Time in WoW, which may not suit all readers. The take down of Stratholme, the capturing of Frostmourne, Muradin, the battles in Northrend etc... could have been given a little more. But still, after my whining, a great book.

A Great Read For World of Warcraft Lore Fans!
I've bought a lot of the WoW lore books second hand from Amazon and this is one of them. Arthas: Rise of the Lich King is one of my favourite World of Warcraft novels. I didn't play Warcraft 3 so this book filled in all of the background lore for me, surrounding Arthas and the Frozen Throne. This is a cracking good read and it will hit you right in the feels! If you have enjoyed other WoW novels by Christie Golden you should enjoy this one. Also, a must-read for all the Jaina fans out there!

Great read.
Purchased this during the Legion expansion of World of Warcraft, as I wanted to break from Raiding and got more interested in the lore of the game.I have to say it is easily the best book I have read in years, although slightly biased being a warcraft player. Arthas Menethil is one of the more well known characters from the game, and this book will give you insight into his life, his family and the surrounding kingdom, up to the events that occur in Wrath of The Lich King.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. I'm not a huge lore follower and that didn't effect me enjoying this one bit. Good story and an easy read.

The most beautiful tragedy in Warcraft
You get to learn of Arthas the boy, the lover, the king-to-be, and finally The Lich King. This story will tug your heart in all directions and leave you wondering "Did I just try to justify mass murder?" 10/10

Great book
It is exactly what you would expect from a Christie Golden book about WoW. Tells the story how it is, with good descriptions and respects the lore
