This tripod is one of the better one`s i`ve used, very stable, and gives a professional feel about it
This tripod was delivered by Amazon on time, the tripod is very good, and very stable, and like it very much, i only gave it 4 stars as the down side of this tripod, is the tripod head, the head is very jerky, and makes a creaking noise when moved in any direction, even with the tension screws are undone, i have a more expensive tripod with a ball head, i have fitted the ball head onto this tripod, as i needed a tripod that folds up quickly, whereas my expensive tripod does not fold down quickly, as i am videoing my nephews wedding in June, if the tripod had a better head, i would have given it 5 stars, the legs lock into place very securely, has a locking ring ring on the centre pole, to stop the tripod collapsing, the legs are very stable and the tripod does not rock, has a hook on the centre pole to add a weight, to make the tripod stable in windy weather, also has a spirit level on the tripod to make sure it is level, when legs are fully extended the tripod is very high, found it better when the lower legs are not fully extended, unless you are over 6ft tall, so come on Neewer sort out these tripod heads, and make this tripod a best buy. Update on this review, Neewer state they want to offer 100% satisfaction, having been in touch with Neewer, they were concerned about my concerns over the jerky head, i explained to them i stripped the head to lubricate the head to give a smooth operation, they responded to say they will replace the product within 7 days with no return of the old one, so to me they do care about customer satisfaction, which is rare these days, so on that point i have increased rating to 5* this is a company worthy of 5* for product quality and customer satisfaction, if you want to buy from a quality company, that care`s about it`s customers, then this is the one, i would recommend this company / supplier 110%

Good solid tripod.
A good solid tripod which is lightweight and versatile with a reasonable price tag. It is quite sturdy when in use even fully extended. I shot a bit of footage on my DSLR and it's quite professional looking. It has been mentioned that the head unscrews from the centre stem when panning so I experimented with locking knob settings and found that if the head is screwed onto the stem as tight as possible and the pan lock knob is loosened, reasonably smooth panning can be achieved. I eventually found the monopod which is the centre stem, withdrawn and extended...make sure you twist to lock each section as required. I like the little carrying handle on the tripod and the included case for easy transportation. Ok, it's not a full on professional tripod but on first impressions I would recommend it for serious consideration for still or video shooting.

Don't Look Down On It Because It's Cheaper
When compared to more expensive tripods, especially the travel variety, this Neewer portable one may seem a little lacking but it's actually not as much of a difference as one might think. It's sturdy enough to have lasted me five years of usage, and the "multi-function hook" as it's apparently called is great for adding wieght and stability. The pan and tilt head is useful as a starter but can be swapped for a ball head if you have one, and it even has a spirit level which some of the more expensive tripods I own don't have! It even has a built-in monopod which is a little on the basic side, but still a great addition. So what are the downsides? Well the pan/tilt head tends to be a little stiff which can result in jerking motions when moving the camera around - which is why so many people replace the head so quickly. In addition to that at its tallest height it can become a little unstable, which is a shame as otherwise its maximum height would have been a plus. It's also highly advisable to hang something heavy on the hook before using the tripod as it's not as heavy as it looks, so it's best to make it more stable when you can. That said, for the price it's really difficult not to recommend this tripod for anyone just starting out. It would make a great and affordable addition to the kit for anyone just starting out in photography or videography, and taking into account the stiffness in the motion of the pan/tilt head this might actually be better used as a training tripod/monopod - something which you can use while you're figuring things out before you go off and buy more expensive kit.

Wow - It's a tripod
I rarely use a Tripod, so rarely that I could not find my old one for a shoot coming up the next day. I ordered this Neewer tripod as it was cheap, tall (back injury) and had a removable monopod. Keeping it brief, The tripod is great. It is small, when folded, but has 4 sections to extend to 6 feet or so. Most of the parts are made of aluminium but there are inevitably some plastic parts to keep the weight/ cost down but the plastic bits seem OK in terms of quality. Would I take this tripod across a mountain - no. Would I use it for portraits, interiors etc - yep. Also comes with a handy case which seems OK. Summary: Good value for a versatile tripod.

Easy to use, strong and sturdy construction. Comes with a carry bag and it's not too heavy to carry
A sturdy tripod, has a little hook under it to stow bags to make it heavier. Also comes in handy for storage of bags/ equipment. It has a spirit level on it so you can make sure it's level. Round feet made from tough rubber means you can put it on almost any terrian. The feet are on ball joints which aid in positioning too. There's an extending pole at the base of the camera holder for extra height. It can stand well over 6ft fully extended. What I do like as well is that it doesn't have too many 'bells and whistles' It's a simple, no nonsense tripod for an intermediate beginner.

Nice tripod
First tripod for 25 years having had a good quality one fail due to the quick release plate that is no longer made and unique. The cost of tripods are though the roof but this one is reasonably priced and does the job well. It is stable and easy to use and well made throughout. The idea of having the centre column come out to make a mono pod is a good feature as well but I do think a change of head would be of benefit as the normal adjustments are not that useful as a mono pod and get in the way a little. All in all a good purchase and well worth the money.

superb and light
These are my go to tripods when needing a good and light product. I have bought 3 of these and use them quite often when I cannot take my heavy duty tripods, and can carry a couple of these on my backpack. Really worth it!

One Step Up
Neewer provides some excellent camera accessories at a reduced price over factory components and I find several of them to be very useful. Neewer has this economical and light duty tripod for recording video that is constructed of aluminum. It represents a huge savings over others that can cost hundreds, basically accomplishing the same thing. It is working great but other than the three extending aluminum leg segments and the monopod, I'm not finding a lot of metal in its components. The hinges, knobs, cranks, and swivels that provide all the versatility seem to be mostly made of plastic. Additionally the specs don't mention that rubberized or any thermoplastic material is used in its construction that would help it to hold up better to abuse, so I would have to assume that whatever components are not metal are just plain ol' plastic, the kind that exposure to weather extremes will eventually destroy. So even though it may be a step up over the AmazonBasics very popular 100% plastic tripod, and its construction is well provisioned for ease and reliability, I would still be hesitant to use it in adverse weather conditions or when nearing freezing temperatures, and certainly not where surfaces are uneven. This is not the tripod to use for rugged and irregular terrain. You want one that you can trust will hold your expensive camera reliably, so for general outdoor use at events with flat surfaces or where relatively free of being tipped over in a photo studio, then this tripod rocks. Everything about it says convenience from the adjustable carry handle to its quick release extendable monopod. It does have a bubble level. Its weakest component is probably the hook that allows hanging extra weight when extra stability is needed in windy conditions. The hook looks and feels like it would easily break off with rough treatment, so I would caution using care or don't even try using it at all. The monopod is the center shaft and easily pulls out to provide a temporary support with two extensions and a rubber base pad. Since the tripod swivel head is replaceable, sometimes it will loosen and the swivel head will begin to wobble. Simply twist the head to tighten it up to the monopod shaft and it will return to its nice smooth rotational self again.

Great product
The NEEWER Travel Tripod is an outstanding piece of equipment for any photographer on the go! It's impressively lightweight yet sturdy, making it easy to carry during hikes or travel. The setup is quick and hassle-free, allowing me to get my shots in no time. The height adjustment is smooth, and it offers a great range for both low and high-angle photography. The ball head provides excellent stability and flexibility for capturing the perfect angle. I also appreciate the durable build quality; it feels solid and reliable. Overall, this tripod is a fantastic investment for anyone serious about their photography. Highly recommend!

The best tripod for under 100โฌ
The main selling point of this tripod is the price, it's very cheap for what it can offer. I'd say it's a fantastic beginner tripod as it can be used for astrophotography, landscape photography, street photography, some basic filming, etc. So you can try out as many different activities as you want to see what you like. The first thing I noticed was the build quality, which was surprisingly good. It has a metal construction and without heavy wind is very stable even without weights. Using a 2 second timer or a remote control is still highly advised as pushing the button moves the tripod slightly. Then when I tried pointing my camera around, the movement was surprisingly smooth, it obviously was not perfect by any means, but with some patience you could get some really good panning shots. So it's a good tripod even for those interested in filming. The one thing I would comment on is that the mechanism holding the camera is made of plastic, so you shouldn't bang it around like it's indestructible. You should also be very careful when tightening the levers as you can break the plastic threads if you're too rough. As long as you are careful you shouldn't have any problems. It comes with a 60 cm long bag that you can easily carry on your back so while it's not great for travelling it's certainly not terrible. I had no problem hiking with it as it is not that heavy. The tripod out of the box is already perfectly balanced, so if you're gonna be using it on flat ground fully extended you don't have to fiddle around with it. It also has a bubble gauge so even if you have to straighten it, it's not that big of a deal. Overall, I highly recommend it if you're a beginner or even slightly experienced. But if you're looking for something more professional, then you're gonna have to look elsewhere.
