The Magic of Mini Pies: Sweet and Savory Miniature Pies and Tarts

I bought a BabyCakes Mini Pie Maker for my mom and got this book to go with it after some searching. I couldn't find any other books with directions on how to make mini pies with a mini pie machine, but this book tells recipes and cooking times for both machine and muffin tin pies! I just made my first chicken pot pies with mom, and they turned out perfect! There's great recipes for sweet pies like berry and chocolate and nut pies, but also savory recipes like empanadas, quiches, pot pies, shepherd's pies, and even cracked-egg pies! There's photos to give ideas of what the pies will look like, and they taste pretty great too. This book is an excellent launching point for creative cooks and and lovers of leftovers. Making filling takes a while, but cooking times are incredibly fast so it's a great thing to have for parties and recipes if you make filling ahead of time. Highly recommend!

I haven't made any of these recipes, but will soon. There are a lot of great recipes included. I really love that it includes many varieties of dough recipes.

This book has some nice recipes for both sweet and savory mini pies. I do like the fact that there are recipes for pies I never would have considered making in my mini pie maker (crusts included). There are actually recipes in there I look forward to trying for my upcoming trip to bring with for quick meals/snacks and some desserts as well.

I bought the mini pie maker for my mother-in-law and bought this to go with it. She's an elderly widow and doesn't have the need to cook large portions. She loved it! She's tried a couple of recipes and enjoyed them very much.

This is an ok collection of recipes; for a digital edition, i would appreciate far more in the way of illustrations and photos. The formatting of the recipe ingrdients does not disply well on the Kindle. The lists are formatted in two columns which bump up against one another making it very difficult to tell where column 1 ingredient ends and column 2 ingredient begins. I've tried resizing text and screen but this does not help. Would like to see some improvement to make it easier to read.

This book helps with figuring out measurements for mini size pies. There's a good variety of savory and sweet pies as well as crisps. Looking forward to making some of these recipes.

This is an ok book about mini pies. Mainly for mini pie machines but can be made in muffin tins. I spent 2.99 for the Kindle version and it was worth that to me. Easy to follow recipes.

This is a really great cook book because you can make a variety of small pies and not have the worry about who's going to eat the rest of the pie! Either baking these pies in a countertop mini pie maker or baking your pies in muffin tins (my favourite). These recipes are to make four pies at a time. Sweet, fruity or savoury pies. Quiche recipes and pie crust recipes included.

Good recipes but I wouldn't have bought this had it not been on Amazon discount as it's a US book and in US weights and measures.
