Mississippi Nights: A History of The Music Club in St. Louis

A must have
If you were ever into the St. Louis music scene, you have to have this book. I practically lived at Mississippi Nights from 1997 through 2005. This book is so valuable to me. I can’t even express it. Inside you’ll find an amazing history of the shows that were there, personal recollections from band members and staff, amazing pictures from shows, and even old ticket pictures. I’m so thankful that somebody wrote this book because it captured one of the most important periods of my life. And now I have it forever.

The history of Mississippi Night a very important live music venue in St Louis..
I'm very excited about the book. I'm personally quoted on page 99 so I'm a little bit biased but take my word. If you have an interest in the clubs that supported and helped bands like Nirvana, The Ramones, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Soul Asylum, The Descendents, The Cult, Slayer, The Dave Matthews Band, The Indigo Girls, etc. on the way to fame. You won't be able to put it down and will be begging for more. I personally give this book my highest review!

Excellent quality
Great book on this former music club (but I'm bias as I have my own images that I contributed are in it!) It could however, gone into further detail regarding band members/instruments and setlists. Perhaps for a future "deluxe edition" of the book?

What a great conversation piece!!
I loved Mississippi Nights as anyone looking at this book does. I thumb through the pages from time to time and find such cool rare gems. Huge bonus, I leave it on the coffee table and everyone who sees it gets excited, picks it up, we start talking music and great live shows. A bit pricey but completely worth it. Thank you for putting this book together for us nostalgic folks!

So many memories, so many great bands, and so many fans!!!
Grew up in StL, always a blast to go to Mississippi Nights, no matter who was performing! Garrett and Stacy did make this great location even more amazing, and they made my memories even better!

What a cool run down memory lane!
The Enloe’s really packed a lot of material and photos into this book, and it’s obvious that they did a great job. I had no idea how many bands actually played here. If you are a music fan, you cannot go wrong with this book. A must for a music fan’s collection.

Excellent history of a great club
This book brought back so many memories of days gone by… So many live shows, met so many great people… Miss Nites was a staple of my life during the mid to late 80’s… The authors did an amazing job of recreating the vibe in such an iconic club!!! Highly recommended!!!

The Nights with live on through this book
Mississippi Nights was an institution in St. Louis many have grown up going to, and this book captures the magic of the place and the times in which it operated. A must read for either St. Louis history or Music History.
