Does the job
This chlorine floater works just as expected. We’ve been using it for about a month now and haven’t had any issues. It holds the tablets well and floats evenly around the pool. Easy to adjust and simple to use. Good basic option for the price!

It has one job, and can't do it properly. Not recommended.
Sigh....I dislike leaving negative reviews, and yet here we are. This chlorine dispenser was not good. Why? Allow me to tell you. Firstly - it's collapsible. This means it collapses every bloody time you attempt to pick it up (yes I know it 'locks' into place, but it actually doesn't). Look, I understand this is for space saving when storing it, but it only saves a meager 3 inches of space...so if you're desperate to save 3 inches of storage space, that might be a clue that you're storing too much stuff. Plus, why are you storing it? Aren't you using it? Anyway.... Secondly - it doesn't float properly. Mostly it floats on its side (I bought 2 of these and they both did it), especially when it's been refilled with chlorine tabs. If it's almost empty, it might float right side up.....but it's so rare that we consider it a special occasion, and we invite neighbors, friends, and family to join us in looking at it and going "ooh" and "aah" when it does. Thirdly - When it IS refilled with chlorine tabs, it sinks to the bottom of the pool. Yes, it sinks. It can't sustain the weight of more than 2, or maybe 3 tabs. We bought the large one BECAUSE we needed to put in several tabs. I mean, it's made bigger to accommodate more tabs, right? Yet it can't. Thankfully one of them cracked yesterday and that was the push I needed to replace both with a different, non-collapsible, one (which I just put in my pool and they're both floating right side up!) Oh, and when I went to throw these away, I discovered they were both half full of water that I can't get out as they're sealed (although clearly not if it's half full of water). A floating chlorine dispenser has one job, and this one doesn't do it very well i'm afraid. Not recommended.

good replacement
This is a replacement for one just like it I bought about a year ago. The old one faded in the sun and the plastic began to chip and disintegrate and literally fall apart. So, I expect this will last me just over a year as well... a little less than a dollar a month by the time I'll need to replace it. I'm good with that...

The cap is used as a gripper so you don’t have to touch the tap
This works great. I love the top. It becomes a hand so that you can reach in to get your tabs without having to touch them.

Developed a leak after several months
Mediocre. Worked well for about 1/2 a year. Then developed a small leak on the floating part and no longer floats
