Useful strategies for dealing with life, though rather “American” in tone- I don’t call children “kids”

This book is one of the best books I've had my kids find this very interesting I sometimes have a little read of it myself and my kids highlight the key bits and now their following the key steps and are role models to their classes

I liked it , receipient’s father said 4 years below a 12 year olds level

My 10 years old daughter just started to read this book and finds it really interesting, so all good so far

Short sharp content. Illustration looks a little young

The book is addressed to kids as an advisory read. I do not think the way it is written would be grasping the addressees.

This book is a really friendly and easy to read suitable for children book. Examples given in easy to read and understand language.

Very impressed with this. Language is age-appropriate and interesting themes tackled. My kids love this.

Author Karen Harris offers an excellent ‘life guide’ for kids – an intelligent, resourceful, enlightened and easily accessible list of attributes worthy of attention to pre-teenagers. As Karen states in the Intro, ‘There are two things hat most kids and pre-teens wish they had: a driver’s license and being old enough to do what they want so fewer people (parents included) can boss them around…Life skills prepare you for, well, the rest of your life. They’re lessons my parents taught me, such as how to handle conflict, manage time, and prioritize responsibilities. There are also some practical day to day lessons, like how to run a dishwasher, do your laundry, and call 911 in case of an emergency.’In that user-friendly fashion, the topics discussed include understanding yourself, learning from failure, making good decisions, staying positive, goal setting, understanding good communication, handling emergencies, chores and practicing independence, earning and saving money, operating appliances, using a compass and reading a map, how to dress appropriately, banish negative thinking, dealing with bullies, creating stem challenges and much more. Truly, these are important things to know – a valuable primer for kids (of all ages..!!!). Recommended

That's really to basic!

This book has great information but not worth the price, too expensive! Also, the whole book (font & images) are black & white only which will not attract the kids, I wish I read the low star comments before I bought this book.

Grandchildren love working on life skills, when they visit.
