Small well made and work well
These are small and sturdy. Was worried they might slip on a slope as they are smooth but they haven't. They work well.Worth getting a bit of lube on the moving bits to help protect them from our damp weather.

Does the Job and saves space
Small but sturdy. Collapse to save space when not required. Remember to check that 'the props' are fully engaged when using! Recommend.

The stability of the emergency jack (if you are lucky enough to even have one these days) has not improved over the years and th
Many years ago I had a car fall off its jack whilst changing a punctured tyre. Whilst the falling off bit was exciting and - when I later thought of the injury I might have sustained - a little scary, trying to then get the jack back under the car (this happened after I had removed the punctured wheel) proved impossible. I was young and had no breakdown cover so the garage call out (A1 early in the morning whilst driving London to Edinburgh) was eye wateringly expensive. The stability of the emergency jack (if you are lucky enough to even have one these days) has not improved over the years and the one legged affair mine comes with is worse than most. So, for many years now I've carried a set of wheel chocks in the car and although I've had quite a few punctures I've not had to contend with the car falling off the jack again! So why am I buying a set of wheel chocks when I already have a set? Treated my "far better half" to a wee run about so second set of chocks needed. These Hilka chocks are just the job and because they fold up they can be stored in the spare wheel unlike my old set which live in a small holdall in the boot! I've just tried them out and they work great. I'd only say one thing and that is you need to double check that the bracing rod is correctly located before putting them under load as it is possible to displace this brace accidentally due to the fact that it does not have a lock to retain the bracing rod in place. There is a detent which will stop the bracing rod from moving once under load though, providing the rod is correctly placed initially. None of this is a big issue as long as you take care to set the bracing rod correctly in the first place but it's why I've only awarded 4 points not 5. Well worth the money!

Compact but Good Quality. Could do better with Instructions
Compact and fold down into a quite small box, but reassuringly good quality. It tells you to make sure you read the instructions, and it isn't rocket science, but the instruction sheet fails to mention the most important thing - when setting up the chock, make sure the support bar goes past the lip and sits between the lip and the end of the upper plate. Test to make sure it won't collapse. Check videos online to learn how to use them if you don't know.

Pleased with these
I have used these many times now and on a smooth surface, I have felt them grip the car while jacking just as they are supposed to. My car is small so cannot say if they would hold a big car but I am pleased with them and use them often while having the rear on axle stands and these chocking the front wheels (car in gear also). They fold flat so easy to store in the car which is very handy.

EXCELLENT
This stuff arrived so quickly and I could not figure out what it was. When I opened tiny box there was this tiny red steel pair of tyre chocks. I regretted the purchase but decided to try them as I live on a hill.I placed my automatic transmission car into neutral and released hand brake, car couldn't move downhill. I came outside in front car still in neutral to inspect the clocks because I placed them at the front tyres. I was afraid clocks might fail and my car would come running downhill causing thousands in damages. The car did not move an inch and chocks stayed put.So I decided this time to put gear into "D" Or drive because in drive the car will roll without acceleration even more so it would move quicker facing downhill. Again chocks remained sturdily firmed and car couldn't move. Still in drive I gently press the accelerator to see how much force it takes to override chocks. Again the car couldn't just override chocks except with a bit thougher acceleration. On a hill with handbrake on it would be safer far more on a level floor with or without handbrake.I recommend this. I call it a "little man in a steel coated jacket".

Better ones on the market
Easy to see how they're supposed to work but I don't find them very effective. They just seem to slide along the ground rather than stopping wheels.

Indispensabili ma molto piccoli
Dalle foto non avevo capito che erano così piccoli. Spero che riescano a tenere fermo il mio Defender! Ingombrano poco fra l’altro si possono anche ripiegare ma occhio che sono veramente piccolini !!
