Good phone with big buttons...
This was a repeat purchase for us. The Doro 100W is a very good phone with big buttons - in our case, ideal for an older person to see and simple to use.

Keep it simple.
Set up for elderly parents ( late 80s) as they would not have been able to manage it on their own. Good quality chunky handsets and clear big number pad, display clear and sound loud. Early days, yet to know how they will get on with it i.e using the volume and boost. The M1/ M2 mem keys weren't initially intuitive to set and took me a bit of scrolling thru menu to find ( on HS Set mode). They will need reminding to press and hold M1/M2 keys to get them to dial. Call log feature clogs up display and caused confusion - what does this mean? etc; , have to go into menu to clear it but they don't need hassle of doing that. Couldn't see option to disable call log? Really is a case of the simpler the better at their age.

Nice clear phones, big display and buttons
These were a replacement of the house phone when we got fibre and moved over to VOIP system. They work well; on is plugged directly into the router, and the other is upstairs (power socket only) The sound is clear, the buttons are large and the display is clear too. Quite a loud ring so you can hear it across the house. Does the job, and I liked that they were white as well. Stable handset cradle, and they keep their charge too. Would recommend.

Good phone with some really daft characteristics.
I'm pleased with this phone overall but have taken off 2 stars because of 2 main gripes. The first gripe is easy. "Boost", to increase volume, either never worked or failed while I was working out what to do. However, there are 5 ordinary volume settings and, on speaker, I find 3 or 4 perfectly adequate and comparably of good quality. On 5, there's sibilance. Please note that I have hearing loss. Secondly, the Call Log doesn't work. It might work if I subscribed to caller display with my provider. As it is, all incoming calls are registered as unknown, even if they're from callers in my Contacts list, with no time or date given. I don't like the display which, as you can see, uses large, spidery characters and also shows a maximum of just 8. With all 8 characters displayed, they're not easy to read due to the compression. And, if you want to see the whole of a phone number, you have to click # to see the remainder. It'll display the time, if you choose, but not the date. Having set up quite a few phones, eg., Panasonic and umpteen burners, I found I had to read the handbook carefully with this one. Good stuff. The ring tones give one good, penetrating choice. The handset is comfortable to hold. I can get the slave phone to work in an adjacent room, which is good, given my line is a mixture of fibre, copper and aluminium, ie., of poor quality. Knowing what I know now, I'd have bought a 105wr, the one with an answerphone. I prefer the Doro PhoneEasy to the Panasonic KX-TGC260E, mainly because of the sound quality on speaker phone.

Good value easy to use phone
Easy to set up and use. Ideal for anyone who struggles with their hands as they have large buttons. Ringer volume is decent. Good value for money. Would definitely recommend this product 😊

Good all rounder that won't let you down!
We bought this set probably 18 months ago now and it has given faultless service. OK, it is not perhaps quite as easy to use the menu as others are but once you are used to its little ways, you can live with it! At the end of the day, we bought it to make and receive phone calls and we wanted a caller display. It does all of that. Who needs all the complicated gadgetry, really?! Turning the volume up and down is easy enough and whilst the speaker system isn't exactly "Dolby surround sound" it is more than adequate, unless your getting one of those irritating marketing calls from the other side of the world, but that is usually because of the person at the other end of the line! What has impressed us is the tough and durable nature of this set. The handsets have been dropped, stolen by our German Shepherd Dog and hidden! One handset was inadvertently left out in the garden overnight. It rained! When discovered next morning, it was soaking wet and lying half in a pool of water. Dried it off with paper towel and discovered it to be in full working order! For the money, I really don't think this tough twin set phone can be beaten!

Doro Phone for Ancient Parent.
91 Year old Great GrandMa requires an easy to use cordless phone! Her previous Panasonic cordless has done well but now just to small! Big is needed, big in everything. Big buttons, display/screen, big numbers, big sound. Doro specialise in this, don't they? Well this seems to fit the bill. The screen IS backlight, the 'Volume Boost' does increase the earphone volume about double! The old Great One does always use it on speaker as she sometimes can't (quickly) find her ear. The audio is good, loud and clear. We programmed in all the required telephone numbers, only just two on M1 and M2, the rest recall from one key on the number pad - press and hold. It does not easily get messed up by inadvertently 'overprogramming'.Thank God. BUT, now discovered, each handset has to be individually loaded with the numbers, unlike the Panasonic which stored it in the base ??.Not a problem really, we will do the bedroom phone next visit. On first switch on they are ready to go as they come ready 'Dect paired'. I need to read the book again to see if I can make it answer on pickup AND go straight to 'speaker phone'. The charging contacts seem to work solidly, doing all that they are supposed to do. One make we tried from Asda was hopeless in this respect, and was not backlight, but on the box it was! (or looked like) Yep! we are happy with our purchase, and the Doro 'mobile' cell phone we bought for Gt Nana has been great too.

Fails to work directly with BT Hub2 - which is the way to go
I bought this to use wirelessly direct to my BT HUb2. It claims to be a DECT (digital enhanced cordless telecoms) phone that is GAP (generic access profile) compatible. Despite this being stated in the manual (p21) no instructions are available for making this work, and though I unplugged the base to avoid a clash, and pressed the WPS pairing button on the hub, I could not get it to work, and gave up. I ordered a BT Essential handset, which came with a simple charging base (no phone line connection or wireless transceiver) and was able to get this going in minutes without even referring to the (much simpler) instruction sheet. Also found that the BT phone has a quick hands-free facility that is quite loud. Many people do not realise that once your landline has 'gone digital' (though it is often still 'copper' not full fibre) then the logical new way to do things is simply to pair the phone handsets with the BT Hub2 which already has built into it the ability to transmit and receive from up to 5 DECT GAP phones; no other base station needed and no wiring throughout the house! The range is quoted as 300m outdoors or 50m indoors depending on any walls in the way. GAP operates on 1900MHz, separately from the WiFi which is also included in the BT Hub2. What's more, you can use two handsets simultaneously for either outgoing or incoming calls, and you can call any handset of the five from any other one; a useful intercom facility if, like me, you have outbuildings such as an office in your garden. My advice is to forget about connecting old phones using the socket on the back of the hub. Just get the BT Essentials - it's audio and display are clear enough, and it seems hard to find other phones that truly work as they should direct to the hub wirelessly.

Phones are for European usage and not US usage without adaptors.
The electric charging plug is for European outlets. Therefore, I had to buy two adapters to plug the phones into US electrical outlets.

Telefon in der Ausführung in Deutschland nicht zu gebrauchen
Die Ausstattung war in Englisch ,so hier in Deutschland nicht zu gebrauchen.Netzstecker passt in keine Steckdose.
