Pecan Lovers
If you are a pecan lover this is THE book for you! Dr. Lenny Wells gives you a tour of the pecan industry. This interesting history of pecans starts with the Spanish explorer Cabeza de Vaca and includes George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and other interesting men who brought the pecan industry to where it is today. Lenny also provides scientific insight into the evolution and production of pecans. Finally he gives us a nice glimpse into what's trending for the future of pecans in America and around the world. The giants of the pecan world described in this book really puts it over the top and makes it a good read.

A very nice reading book
A very nice reading book, conveying history that would otherwise not have been told in one book. Lenny did a nice job and the history, as well as other detail add up to my expectation. This is not a typical handbook, but as I have said, an easy reading book summarizing and conveying history. Very nice Lenny!

This is one of the finest pieces of literature I’ve read
This is one of the finest pieces of literature I’ve read. Honestly it belongs alongside David McCoullagh, though it is more densely researched. It can be read as a How-To book, or as a richly descriptive Romantic-Era work of prose. It can instill a love of both Pecans and our New World, past present and future.

Excellent Book
My husband and I are looking into buying some land and planting pecan trees so that when we're old we'll have that income. There are 24 existing trees already and young pines. This book takes a deep look into everything Pecans. It's information will lead to a promising future for us if we do invest.

An outstanding insight into this “tree of life”.
This book truly brings to light the history of the pecan along with interesting information about the genetic diversity of the tree. Gave good insight into the some what difficult way we as mankind propagated this “tree of life” only 200+ years ago and insights on the challenges the producers of this nut faces.

Gift for husband
Someone recommended this book for my husband. He’s not a big reader, unless it’s something about farming or pharmacy. He didn’t seem impressed. He was hoping to have pics of different type nuts and their diseases. I’m still on the hunt for the book he would prefer.
