Does the job, fairly quiet.
I have a Dell XPS laptop as job requirement but use primarily on my desk connected to external monitor and keyboard. I find laptop fans intrusive, and the Dell seems to get insanely hot. This cooler sits comfortably on the desk and the fan just whirs at a constant speed all day. It keeps the laptop cool, and the internal fan is rarely heard. The cooler fan is not silent, but it is quiet and the sound is more like a traditional desk-top fan hum: constant, low frequency and far less intrusive. Good value.

Works well, too tall to be called "slim"
Managed to lower average temp by almost 10 degrees and it is silent. However it does raise the laptop as high as I could possible use it, some people may find it is too high.

Perfect Size for the Razer Blade Stealth 13.
The fan is great. This fan replaces my very old, (in tech years), four blade cooler that was starting to sound like the back of an Ice Cream Van.The CoolerMaster fan is little louder than expected but the dull whirr of the larger single blade soon becomes unnoticeable to my ears. However, we all attenuate sound differently. It was quite a tough ask to find a decent laptop cooler that wouldn't swamp a 13inch notebook. This one is a perfect size. Also I think future models of this should come with a detachable cable, easier to replace than repair.I am very happy with this for its size alone. Now I can dabble in a few more demanding games on my titchy laptop.Pros: Size excellent for smaller laptops, ('Like that').Does the job of cooling well.Excellent value for a trusted well established brand.Super easy to transport.Cons: Fan may be too loud for some.A separate cable is easier to replace than repair.

15.7" laptop fits comfortably, but doesn't deliver much in the way of cooling...
First impressions, build quality is adequate for the price, though cable is quite thin, and there appears to be little in the way of protection over long period of use (ie packing and unpacking). I have a 15.7" laptop, which sits nicely upon the stand. Instead of plugging the USB into my laptop, I have instead used a spare phone charger. In terms of noise levels, there is a slight noise (to be expected) but it doesn't compare with a standard desk fan on its lowest setting.Where the cable terminates into the USB connector has little protection which may cause concern, and similarly where the cabel terminates into the internals of the product also appears quite sharp with little consideration for constant wrapping and unwrapping of the wire. Having said that, despite this I do not envisage packing this up often due to using this primarily whilst at my work desk. Having said that, replacing the wire doesn't appear to be difficult. This was bought, on payday following the peak high temperatures over 30 degrees, as my office offers little in the way of a cool working environment. During this period of time, my laptop was recorded blowing air from the fan section of the laptop at temperatures up to 60°C, which was enough to make my desk an uncomfortable place to work, and also made anything in the near vicinity hot, especially a chocolate bar which I was going to have for my lunch...At the time of writing this, the room in which I am testing measures 28°C, with my laptop currently rendering a multitude of images based on a CAD file which I produced, sat upon the NotePal.Without running the fan the measurements are as follows:Hottest point: 36°CMax internal temp: 84°CSpace between base of laptop and Notepal: 32°CAfter 10 minutes of use:Room temp: 28°CHottest point: 32°CMax internal temp: 80°CSpace between base of laptop and Notepal: 32°CAfter 1 hour of use (from start of test):Room temp: 29°CHottest point: 35°CMax internal temp: 81°CSpace between base of laptop and Notepal: 31°CI plan to use this constantly every working day, so it will be interesting to see how long it lasts. As some have mentioned, it obviously doesn't feature an on/off switch, but the same effort in switching the device on and off could be replicated by just unplugging the cable!!!In terms of how much it cools, well the temperatures recorded above, were sampled using a mercury thermometer (for room temperature) and a laser temperature gun, the results above speak for themselves. So would I purchase it again? Well looking at the results, I would probably look at purchasing a larger more heavy duty product that features a more powerful fan. Having said that, this isn't a heavy duty product with a powerful fan, (900 rpm ±% - according to manufacturing data), and would be suitable for everyday normal use, perhaps less so for what I will be using it for. When this was purchased it, Amazon had it priced at £28.80 which, when it was delivered, increased to £34.85 (21% increase!). I think, it is fair to say that it is reasonably priced at sub £30, but I don't think I would have purchased this if it were above £30.Following this, I may return this product in favour of purchasing a product with a faster fan(s) seeing as this doesn't seem adequate as a basic cooling pad...

Good Quality & Silent Fan (Bargain)
I have recently purchased a 2018 Mac mini for graphic design / photography editing purposes - I have noticed for a while the computer itself can get quite hot which obviously could cause it to overheat and eventually kill it.I bought this product to combat the lack of ventilation that the Mac mini has and I'm well and truly amazed! The unit is almost silent so you will not notice sound whilst working and the airflow is keeping both the external hard drive and the Mac mini cool.I am yet to push it fully to the test as I have only started using the product today but from what I can see it is an absolute steal for the price it is - you will not be disappointed!Another reason i purchased this product rather than others is because of the brand Cooler Master - its a well known and trusted brand.Bonus point: I was worried about the pad being oversized clmpared to the Mac mini - but in reality you wont really notice the difference looks wise.

Good value.
Reasonably quiet. Reduces heavy-load CPU and GPU temperatures significantly (up to 15 degrees, for me at least!) preventing GPU throttling while playing games.

Very Useful
Needed for a laptop that was running 24/7, This not only kept it cool but is also very quiet in operation.

Keeps i7 laptops cool
This is great and keeps the laptop cool when in use. You can hear the fan, but it is not oppressive.
