Arrived in surprisingly quick time given the current situation. First impressions are that this is industrial grade hose compared to the usual flimsier garden grade stuff. This is in no way a criticism, it simply means that the value for money quotient is excellent. On receipt, I fitted standard issue Hozelock connectors which seemed a little tight. This may be due to the hose being brand new when I've been used to re- fitting them to my ever-shortening old item which has not aged well and has softened and probably stretched in diameter over time. First use indicates the non-kink claim may well be true, we'll have to see. Overall, good first impression. Update: After 3 months use I have found that the hose diameter has increased significantly due to the walls stretching from the internal water pressure when the garden tap is left 'on' but the nozzle end is 'off'. In itself this is not a problem unless you need to change a hozelock type end connector. those of you who use these will know they don't last forever. To achieve a drip free seal you need to clamp down on fresh hose so you cut off a centimetre or two from the hose end.... but the stretched diameter it is now too big to fit into the hozelock fitting! To get around this I inserted a 25 mm length of 15mm standard copper plumbing tubing into one end of a 300mm length of standard garden hose then inserted that end into the stretched diameter of this heavier gauge hose and secured it with a jubilee clip. This then provides a 'step-down' adaptor to a hozelock fitting. Apart from this bit of faff I still regard the hose as vastly superior to the cheaper, run of the mill sort.

neatly packaged--but not boxed--arrived in good condition---wanted to replace an old Hoselock hosepipe mounted on a wheeled frame purchased many years ago --no problems winding it on as it seems quite flexible as well as being quite sturdy--replaced all connectors as they were looking worn and it works fine with no issues--one thing I would add is I have never left any hoses outdoors over the winter period and I think this is the secret for longevity and that also goes for the more expensive ones so I suppose it's down to the way you look after them--quite pleased with this purchase.

This is still a cut above the green-coloured hoses, that don't last as long and soon kink and split. Flexible enough. Fair value and readily fits my connectors. I shall gradually change from my green hoses to this range.
