Vet Backed Senior Cat Joint Supplement, Chicken, 300ct Chews

My Maine Coon is not a senior. However, he had a full hip replacement surgery when he was two. He is now five. The vet stated he had to be on a joint supplement for the rest of his life. He was taking Cosequin. I had to put it in a creamy treat to get him to take it. As of a couple of weeks ago, he started refusing to eat any treats with Cosequin in it. I was in dire need of finding something he will eat. I read that green lipped muscles are good for reducing inflammation and helping joints. He has lots of inflammation due to the hip replacement. (side note: don't let a surgeon use cement in a hip replacement on your pet. His hip replacement is causing problems. Further, check the surgeon's licenses to see if that person has been reprimanded due to a bad surgical procedure. I didn't know to do that, and my baby is paying the price.) I was not expecting Mr. Samson to eat these at all. He sniffs his food like a drug dog looking for drugs before deciding if he will try them. He eats these without any problems. He is acting like he is doing better eventhough he has only been taking them for about a week. It will not fix this messed up hip replacement, but it appears to be helping his pain level. That is as good as it gets for us at this time. It is definitely worth a try.

I simply can’t praise Pet honesty brand supplements enough! They literally “fixed” my kitty in a good way! When my Ebony (a senior 13yr old “kitten” by behavior) was getting some pretty bad constipation I started her on Pet Honesty hairball supplements 2months ago & she’s been pretty regular ever since! After a recent hyperthyroidism diagnosis & much weight loss I decided to start her on the cat joint supplements for notably increasing joint pain with severe limping (a wobbly hobbling gait with crying & flopping down on the floor from the pain). After about a month on it (with prescription meds for hyperthyroidism) Ebony gained weight & her crying, wobbles & limping have almost totally disappeared! She still only favors 1 front paw a bit. If you saw the way she was walking prior to her starting it you would see the difference is like night from day! I’m just so impressed with this joint supplement I had to jump back on here and sing its praises! I even recently recommended it to a friend for her senior dog! I’ve also posted a video of her stiff gait (especially around the hips) on a moderately bad day but it actually had gotten even much worse than in this video! My girl kitty is about 8 years old and was abused as a kitten with severe neglect when I got her as a foster rehab. I was a foster mom fail and she never left me and she’s just been a blessing. She is partially blind with a weak immune system due to her neglect with upper respiratory infection as a kitten and has joint inflammation and pain frequently with lip ulcers as well. She is supposed to be in liquid steroids for life daily, but with the acknowledgment that her life span could be shortened. I wanted to try something that could help alleviate her pain and discomfort and tried these treats after reading the reviews. All I can say is WOW!!! She used to sleep, hide, be antisocial when she wasn’t ’feeling well’ with her joints and immune system issues when they’d act up. Not with these treats! Plus she LOVES them! She is extremely picky with food and treats, but looks forward to these treats daily and perks up when she hears the bad open. Yes, they are pricey, but the amazing positive effect and increased energy and socialization in her makes it absolutely worth every penny! I will keep buying these treats and feeding them to her and her 2 other ‘brother’ kitties too as they love them as well! Thank you! If you’re on the fence about trying them, do it! I’ve tried everything and these are absolutely amazing! My little girl is acting like a kitten again and I’m so thankful!

I am overall very happy with these chews. The bag is thick and seals well, I feel like it holds in the freshness of the product. I should have read the description more thoroughly. This isn’t a one day supplement. The description says give one per day per pound of the pet — for my chonky cat this is 18 chews. I have some suspicion this isn’t a very precise dosage as the chews are not a uniform size (see photo). One thing I am very happy about: my cat LOVES them. She gobbles them up every evening with no issue and will go wait near the treat cabinet when she senses it’s time to get her treat. As far as the most important thing, the efficacy, goes. It’s really hard to say with things like this. She is getting older and seems to be having a harder time getting up and down off the couch/bed etc. I’ve been giving her these treats consistently for about a month and she does seem to be moving a little faster and a little less hesitant to play and run around. It’s hard to know with cats. I’m satisfied enough with the results though and I plan to continue to administer these. Hopefully in the weeks to come the effects will be even more noticeable.

My older cat needed joint support and he LOVES these! I was previously using a capsule that I would break open and sprinkle on his food, but I have 2 cats and the younger one didn’t need the supplement so it became hard to keep track of which cat was actually getting it. This was a great way to make sure my older cat got the supplement and it is something he enjoys. My cats also use their vitamins. Highly recommend both!

My 11 year old female maine coon has had hip issues for many years. We've tried to treat the condition with supplements but my cat is also a very picky eater, and won't eat anything other than her beloved cat food. I decided to try this brand out and I was elated by the results. For one, she LOVES the treats. I just mix in the proper amount with her dry cat food. The very next day she was much more active and mobile. She's like she was several years ago before her hips starting going out. Thank you!!

I use these and the multivitamin for my kitty everyday. She gets half dose of each and seems to work quite well. She's a big kitty , so I would not attempt giving her that many each day. She had a limp and now it has gone. I started vitamins and got her stairs so she has no more reason to jump. She is my happy kitty again. I would definitely recommend Pet Honesty products.

May Jane has been moving about quite well since taking these treats, as we call them. Before, she would lie down and sleep all day. Now, MJ is up most of the day, walking around and investigating what is happening outside. She lounges in the heat but comes in every 2-3 hours for more treats. I had to stop giving her more than five at a time because MJ would treat them as her main meal rather than just treats. She loves them and vomits less. The bag is easy to open and reseal. She loves these treats, and she's usually difficult to get to eat anything. Buy them—you won't be disappointed, and neither will your cat.

I purchased these for one of my cats who has been getting older and having a harder time jumping and running around. I noticed it when she was jumping on the bed and barely making it up. I ordered these and gave some to both of my cats each day for a week straight and noticed a difference within the week. My cat seems like she is less bothered by jumping up and seems more mobile. The other cat runs to me if I shake the bag. I was a little confused about the serving since my cats are *overweight* so I usually give them each a small handful (7-10 each) and they devour them all. Both of my cats have sensitive stomachs and neither have thrown up after eating them. I will continue to buy these for my girls!

The cat thinks these are 'treats' and had no problems from day 1 chowing down on them. Before booking at the vet for a medication script, I thought I would try this product. I figured, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Within a week, he no longer 'hitched' his one leg when walking or trotting around the house. He's no longer 'tight' in the hips and once again jumps onto and down from the bed to bug, I mean wake me at a godawful hour in the morning. He turned 18 in July. He's more physically active throughout the day, and is less grumpy and sleepy. I thought he was just old, but now he moves and plays like he is 2 year old again. Buy these. Your cat will love them. I love that he's more mobile, without strain or limitation, and receiving great value for the product's cost.

as with all treatments be patient........I saw improvement after 3 weeks with my 2 15 + years old cats.

I was nervous about getting these because my 13 year old cat is VERY picky. She'll eat temptations and dry food, if I really push it, and that is IT. I don't know how it is even possible but she is obsessed with these. She bites my fingers as I try to give them to her. She turns away from temptations to eat these. This is a miracle product.

This is the second time I've ordered these . Our cat is coming up to 11 years old, slowing down & sleeping more (is that possible?!) She likes the taste & waits patiently at night til they're served up. I'm not totally aware of the good they're doing as she still does the stairs a few times everyday as well as going outside, when the snow finally clears. I am assuming they're helping. The ingredients are good & won't cause any side effects. I'm pleased to but these when they are on a special. I do recommend.
