Can the frying pan be removed for cleaning?

No, only the basket, but you wouldn't want to remove the pan after every cooking. When it wants cleaning I would do it when the oil looks like it wants changing. Pour old oil into a container, wipe interior out as much as possible with kitchen paper, put some hot water with washing-up liquid into pan and wash, pour away and rinse. Hope this helps

does it have handles for lifting in and out of cupboard? How do you empty the oil out after us?

No handles but less to need cleaning! It is very compact and square so tipping oil out of a corner is not an issue - it's not heavy. Delighted with mine.

Where do you register for the free 2 year extended warranty as it doesn't tell you?

You will receive an email from the manufacturer shortly after delivery. Just fill in the required details and they register you for the 2year guarantee.

does it have a filter

It doesn't have changeable filters I just checked the instructions. I have had this about 2 months it works really well for 2/3 people easy to clean minimum amount of oil needed... just buy it!
