Lenovo TAB3 7 IPS/LCD Tablet (7 inch, MediaTek MT8161P Processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB eMMC, Android 6.0) - Slate Black

I bought this for my wife to replace her 3 year old ASUS that had become so slow it was almost inoperable and to be fair it had been good for most of the time.This tablet is very small despite being 7 inch with Lenovo removing the bezel that surrounded older screens. It is also thin. Basically the tablet is an excellent purchase with only one minor drawback and that is that the screen is not quite as high a resolution as I would like. That aside the screen is still very good and acceptable.It runs reasonable fast and has 2gb of Ram with a good quad core 64bit processor. I bought a dedicated case also from Amazon to fit this particular model. My wife is happy to have this new tablet as she does so much on her tablet in preference to her mobile.

This is a a fantastic tablet for its price (£80). Kids mode is great if you want children to use it. Display is clear despite not being HD. Performance is reasonable even with games. Camera isn't the best but that is expected with a budget tablet. All-in-all great value.

It's slow and freezes too easily. Ended up returning it.

I bought this as I wanted a 7" tablet at a sensible price to use for viewing PDFs when travelling. It lives up to that requirement admirably so far.Drawbacks are the outdated Android 6 (current is 9) and the slightly underwhelming performance. The latter is visible when browsing as occasional delays rendering the page. It's also not possible to watch films in some formats (I've had trouble with MKV files under VLC), this also presumably being a performance issue.I couldn't find any solutions for rooting the device, so don't get it for that purpose.Construction is solid, battery life seems fine, and if it weren't for the noticeable performance issues this would be a 5 star review. That said, for my purposes it is just fine so a solid 4 and worth considering with these caveats for other purposes.

Lenovo do not update this particular device or most of their Android products from my research. This means if you want to use Google family the software isn't compatible, the tablet also runs slowly very quickly.Disappointing

Good for the kids and very good tablet for the price. I do recommend to go for the 2Gb/16Gb version, since from my experience will provide more stable and fluid apps playing experience.

Incredibly good value for money. I already own a high-spec 10 inch tablet but bought this as a second tablet to take on holiday. I was very pleasantly surprised by its speed and ease of use.

So far so good - works very well, fast, charges in good time. Pretty happy after a couple of months of use!
