Don't make nut roasts, but it does the job well when adding nuts to cakes etc.

We're very often chopping onions with this chopper and it works alright. Please just note that it chops onions to very small pieces, which is exactly what we want, but I read some comments from people complaining about this.

Has anyone used this to make curry pastes with hard ingredients like ginger, galangal, lemon grass etc and does the paste come out fine?

I’ve used it for chopping things like walnuts, carrots, parsley and making breadcrumbs. The longer you use it the finer the crumbs become but I’ve never achieved a paste. It works fairly well for blending things like soup and making it smooth but on dry ingredients I’m really not sure you’ll get the result you want. However, I haven’t used it for the things you mention so can’t say for certain.
