No longer has the swivel cord. On the plus side, it has a cool setting but you still need to hold in the cool button to smooth out frizz. Also has a diffuser attachment . Unfortunately the attachments from the older model don’t fit on. So- longer drying, a little more frizz, you need to be cognizant of the direction of the hot air. However, if you didn’t have the older model, you would probably still like this . On medium heat, with the detangling attachment, my hair was done drying in less than 10 minutes!! (My hair is EXTRA thick natural 4C, barely neck length).It was completely dry with no scalp, neck, or ear burn, and it felt so soft and healthy. (I did use some detangling cream and heat protectant prior to drying.)I've never been more amazed or happy at a dryer! I look forward to using it in the future.
