Don’t let ignorance deter you from buying!!
This slicer is a beast! Don’t let the ignorance of other reviewers deter you from purchasing this machine. For the price you pay, the size, the wattage and the overall quality, you will not find a better one. So far, this is a solid slicer. I’ve used it a handful of times and it’s been excellent. A few notes: 1. Sliding machine- between the weight and the wide feet, I have had no issues with it moving around during usage. 2. Sharpener- Not sure where others were having issues but positioning of the stone wheel makes the difference. 3. Thickness dial- The dial could use a little more design work, but if you start with zero pointing straight up, you can adjust from there. 4. Blade not spinning on arrival- You MUST make adjustments when you receive your slicer. Our blade did not spin at first. After adjusting the stop that pushes against the back plate(the piece that you press the meat against) the blade spins freely. THE BIG ONE….CLEANING! 5. Cleaning- YES IT TAKES WORK TO CLEAN!! Not everything in life is going to be easy. If you’re afraid to take a few screws out to ensure proper cleaning, this slicer may not be for you! Another reviewer explained in detail how to take off the blade, so I’m not going to do that. However, I can assure you the blade DOES come off. We also remove the slider, which is simply a knob you unscrew and pull forward to take off. It will take some effort to clean the rest of the machine. Take your time and get into all the little crevices to keep things sanitary. Be sure to check inside the black plastic tray that sits under the machine. It is open in the front to allow the slider to move back and forth. Also, don’t forget to use food safe lubricant on all moving parts before storing to prevent corrosion and to keep the machine working smoothly. I haven’t had the slicer long enough to know if the motor will stop working or if the wires burn up, but I will be sure to come back and let you know if there’s any future problems. All in all, it’s a good quality slicer that cuts meat like butter. You can slice thinly for sandwich meat or thicker for other dishes. For $250 ($50 coupon at time of purchase), a 10” blade, a 340 watt motor and a solid aluminum alloy build, you won’t find one better!

Good unit. Aluminum parts oxidize badly.
The slicer is solid and works well but the push tray and the blade cover aluminum oxidizes really really bad and it is difficult to remove.

Very Nice Slicer Well Worth Te Monye
The slicer arrived 2 days early how nice. My son and my self played with it for about a hour. Yes the direction are not the best but it really was self explanatory there is a extra knob and shaft. I believe it could replace the handle on the slide but why that knob is of a great size. Other people said it was hard to take apart and clean not so 4 screws and its apart easy peasie . Also very well built has a nice platform to catch your cheese or meat. So far it exceeds my expectations. And yes it is really sharp and the sharpener is easy to use also and yes it is 340 w

I don’t recommend.
So I have been slicing meat for quite a while, and I bought this one because it had a higher powered powered motor and I was literally wearing out my other meat slicer. First thing I noticed is the blade is very different. It is a smooth edge blade most slicers for frozen meat has a serrated edge so that’s one thing that I don’t like, using this one you have to push extra hard to get the meat to go through and the metal that has the teeth that hold the meat as you are pushing to slice it just shreds your meat. It doesn’t have suction feet so you have to hold very tight on the base opposite of the hand that you’re pushing your meat to slice it bottom line I don’t recommend it

Worth the Effort – Great Slicer with a Few Small Drawbacks
I’ve been using this slicer for a while now, and while it does take some time to clean, I can honestly say it’s well worth the money and effort. Cutting your own meats and cheeses at home gives you better control over thickness, freshness, and quality — and this machine handles it really well. That said, there are a few things to keep in mind: The instructions are not the easiest to follow, especially when assembling it for the first time. The built-in blade grinder/file doesn’t really do the job — I’d recommend getting a separate sharpener if you want to keep the blade in top condition. If you're able to get past the setup and cleanup (and maybe invest in some food-grade oil for post-cleaning care and rust prevention during storage), this slicer can become a solid tool in your kitchen — maybe not for daily use, but absolutely worth having when needed.

Great slicer
Excellent slicer for meat and cheese. Very sturdy, easy to clean. It’s a heavyweight and motor is strong.

Amazing Power
I had been thinking about getting a meat cutter for more than a year. When I finally decided to purchase one, and after reviewing the many choices, this machine came out in first place. Other machines costing much more, could not beat the value and power of this one. This machine has 340 watts of power, and I could really tell as I was effortlessly cutting lunch meat. No slow down, no bogging down, this machine just powers right through it like I was slicing soften butter. This machine had the most power of the other machines to choose from. Other machines had 150 watts to 240 watts, but this beauty had 340 watts of "get it done" power! If there was a negative about this machine, it would be the cleaning of it, and removing the blade to get to those hidden areas that must be cleaned. There is no way around it, it's a must do. But, after the first couple of times cleaning this machine, I can now do it in no time at all. You really need to be careful of that very sharp blade, but the machine comes with safety gloves to get the task done safely. I can honestly say, I can remove the blade and clean the machine and reassemble in under 10 minutes.

Slices vey good, the one thing I don’t like is, the thickness gauge doesn’t click in place. However, they did come up with a solution. There is a bolt with a locking screw to make sure it stays.
