Hi i am a size 12 uk would ibuy asize 8to 10 or a 12 to 14

I bought size M. my Size is 10 - 12 I would say item fits perfectly well.

What size is recommended for a size 22 please?

I would recommend going for at least 2 sizes bigger, as they are very tight fitting. I am for example 14-16 and bought the x large. They are good quality though. Hope this helps.

What denier are these tights and are they ladder resistant

These are not tight there stomach control pants , I wore at Christmas part and were very comfortable would recommend.

Do you get the horrible bulge over the top of the belly as with other control underwear

No it actually flattens the belly, however,I think you get a roll at the side, between the waist band and your bra.I ordered a small (10) It could have been a bit smaller ,for a more sculptured look.
