DeoxIT D5S-6 Spray, More Than A Contact Cleaner, 142g, Integrated Straw, Pack of 1

Expect great results every time, yes it’s expensive but it does the job perfectly. The only drawback is the nozzle application it does tend to leak so care is needed. Compared to other brands this one doesn’t leave a nasty sticky mess, and will clean the worst of contacts easily.

Bought this as a last resort before putting my venerable 30 year old NAD 3130 amplifier in for repair. The amp has suffered from the right audio channel "drop out" for a considerable time. I sprayed all the moving parts inside the amp, volume/balance pots, switches, etc, worked them as per instructions. Lo and behold both channels now working perfectly with no background "noise". I also tried it on the volume control of a "face off" car stereo that has been very dodgy for a considerable amount of time - same result - now working perfectly. Although it is expensive for such a small can, it's a very inexpensive repair when compared to putting the amp to a specialist (I don't know what it would have cost......)

Great product, but spray action, even at it's minimal setting, often wastes too much liquid, and it's not cheap. Top Tip: spray half into a jar with a lid and apply with a syringe to avoid wastage, only use the spray nozzle when really needed.

I have never believed it when people have told me that there is no alternative to DeoxIT when it comes to cleaning pots, sockets and other electronics. I got myself a contact cleaner by another brand and thought that would solve my issue. Wrong. Since I used Deoxit on the sockets of my 50s tube (valve) amp, it has worked perfectly and silently. I give in. There really isn’t an alternative that works. Extraordinary product that has no rivals. A complete monopoly which I reluctantly accept!

First of all, this was superb and fixed the issue I was having, BUT it is not like the alcohol based cleaners that evapourate quickly - this is like a greasey film that took about 5 days to evapourate. For the bits that needed it it worked perfectly and has lasted really well, but I spilled this into areas that I shouldn't have done as the spray strength is not easy to control and had a nightmare worrying that I had just broken my entire synthesizer but luckily a week later it worked again. In other words be extremely precise and take steps to ensure this doesn't dribble onto areas it shouldn't as it doesn't just simply evapourate.

Wow - certainly *more* than a contact cleaner. Two snorts and my nostrils are cleaner than they have ever been ( bonus de-hair ) and I was seeing stars for 20 minutes. There is an "integrated" straw, however, if a quick snort can render you out of it, I am not sure why you would want to drink it! On a more serious note..... I did try it on the switch wafers on my old TS530SP transceiver and also the contact on a BK100 semi-automatic Morse key and they are both now making good electrical connections. 40 years of accumulated oxidation and dust on the transeiver siwtch wipers now gone.

I have no reason to doubt the fluid in the can, but the spray-tube is useless because it doesn't fit the nozzle on the can, so it's hard to direct the spray and it's messy to use.

Expensive but does the job

Does everything that it promises. Great product! Now all my N64 games have clean contacts. I still have to blow inside the cartridge sometimes but way less.

Es el más clásico de los limpia contactos de electrónica a nivel mundial.Funciona muy bien en contactos,potenciómetros,etc. Ojo! es un limpiacontactos,NO lubrica. Hay que utilizarlo con cuidado.Pulsar suave y echar poca cantidad. Como pega,decir que es muy caro y cuesta que te lo envíen por el tema de aerosoles en los aviones.
