Much better than the cheap ones, but still doesn't look like a button!
Ideal for extending the life of perfectly good shirts which are now a bit tight around the collar, and which you need to fasten and wear with a tie without looking scruffy. They are so easy to use: either loop over your existing top button and fasten normally, or put through your button hole first and then loop over your top button. The white disc on the front marks this product out from the cheaper, metal-only versions, and gives them a quality appearance. You can also use them to make your cuffs a bit wider when fastened, if you have wide wrists or wear a fat watch. However, they still don't look like real buttons, like my dad's ones used to 40 years ago. They are good for just over half an inch size increase. If you need more room I suppose you could daisy chain 2 together, but this looks rubbish when wearing, even with a wide tie knot. Best to buy some new shirts if your neck has grown that much! Finally, if you are looking to buy these just to replace a missing or broken top button, this is not what you need. Buy a sewing kit with some buttons included instead, and sew one on!

The product does its job well, and is very durable. The button and loop size are appropriately sized to fit commonly found shirt button holes and buttons, respectively.Visually, when worn with a white shirt, the extender is distinguishable from the shift button, since it's bright white with chrome edging, while normally, shirt buttons are much more plain. So it is not perfectly discreet, but I found that's not a problem, because when on show, the button looks like an extra piece of decoration, almost like a cufflink. Having this available in multiple color options would be a good idea.While it fastens just fine, the button doesn’t sit perfectly flat against the shirt when worn. (This doesn't impair its function.)The product could use resealable packaging - since it comes in a set of five, it's easy to misplace the extenders currently not in use.Overall, I found the product functional, durable, and attractive.I have received this product for free in exchange for an unbiased review.

Suitable for shirt necks and to extend small buttons.
These are good to give you and extra half inch where you need it. They worked well for my husband's shirts around the neck, where he needed a bit more space for comfort.
