My three Pentel 0.5 mm mechanical pencils were delivered inside an unlined, plain, plastic envelope. They reached me undamaged, mind. All three pencils work properly. This is what I have learnt to expect from Pentel over the years. I have been using Pentel mechanical pencils more or less since the beginning of Time and they never fail me just so long as I use Pentel's own leads. By the way, I find these pencils really comfortable for both writing and drawing. A WORD: From time to time one may come across copy-cat products which look JUST LIKE Pentel pencils even though they are not Pentel pencils. In all fairness, I suppose we must call these items forgeries. I do not know how well they do or do not perform. But why buy them when Pentel prices are fair and Pentel mechanical pencils will not fail you. In general, I have found that inexpensive mechanical pencils [of any sort] keep jamming. That is why I keep seeking Pentel mechanical pencils because they do not jam just so long as one is using Pentel leads.

Works fine. Occasional jams (bear in mind I am using non-Pentel refills) but easy enough to fix. Easy to refill, rubber can be extended out once you wear out the visible part (which is hidden under the metal clicker). Reasonably comfortable. My only issue is that it feels plastic-y when you first get it out of the box.

These are probably the best mechanical pencils to be had. they simply do what they are supposed to: personally i wouldnt buy anything else, and as such have all three sizes with a range of lead densities. They are comfortable to use & the lead advance mechanism is smooth and faultless: by pressing the nickle plated plunger fully, the exposed lead can be pushed back into the tip shield for storage [stops the lead snapping in a pocket for example] . There is a very handy 'hidden' rubber in the plunger. Bought a second pack of three on receipt of first pack therefore would recommend the seller (SBS CONSUMABLES) without reservation. Please note: the pencils are loose & do not come in the pentel blister packaging. "

Delivered quickly but rattling around in a small box as there was no bubble wrap around them. I thought was a bit short sighted, but luckily the leads seem unbroken. Otherwise, having compared prices before ordering, I think they’re extremely good value.

These are my favorite mechanical pencils! The size of the rod is that of a regular pencil which makes it familiar. Advancing the lead is quite easy, as well as changing out the leads and erasers. I've used these pencils for at least 20 years and they've never broken or become unusable. I will always have them in my office supplies.

A classic not to miss! These are a very smooth writer and of great quality.

I've been using these pencils forever. They are great! However, first they stopped enclosing the fine wire used to remove lead when it becomes stuck as it is being discharged, now rather than supplying the pencil filled with lead there is only one refill in the chamber. At least provide the fine wire for sale.
