Excellent for physical, hot/humid days when in need of LEGIT quick rehydration
The formula reminds me of pedialyte, or the B087D31M34 Amazon brand Basic Care premade solution for serious rehydration. The form of sugar used here is DEXTROSE (as seen in product picture), which is chemically identical to glucose, or blood sugar. It is used to sweeten a multitude of things, but also is used medically to help someone who is dehydrated and/or has low blood sugar. If you are dehydrated- your body needs sugar, sodium, and potassium REPLACED. If you are not dehydrated, then you will just be adding sugar, sodium, and potassium that you do not need. You use THIS to REPLACE electrolytes, and what the body needs.. not as a casual drink.I have physically demanding jobs Indoor AND outdoor) that are absolutely brutal in high temp, high humidity days of summer. No AC, no relief. Just what equates to a hard work out, totally covered up head to toe, and the sweat pours generously out of my body. I want, no.. NEED an electrolyte mix that has a goodly amount of SUGAR, SODIUM, & POTASSIUM because just drinking loads of water is dangerous. That just dilutes the body further of electrolyte balance. Not at all cool to feel faint with a chainsaw in hand. All else is bonus. I dont want fake sweetened. I dont want a hint of sodium. Why bother? This is for ACTIVE sweaty people who are actually in NEED of the benefits that come with a good ratio of those ingredients."Our Hydration formula is a highly concentrated serving of electrolytes that is designed to help replenish what you lose when you sweat, including sodium"Likely not for you if you are a casual consumer of electrolyte beverages for basic daily hydration. For that, you can get away with artificial sweetener, lower sodium, paltry potassium amounts..ie most store bought prepackaged name brand stuff (and this still has less calories over full sugar bottles). I have a collection of various electrolyte formulas for this exact reason. When I NEED the electrolytes, I am grabbing for this. Replacement puts back what you lost, not add to what you have. Funny thing though.. formulas like this aren't exactly pleasant to drink. BUT they work. When I just feel a need for added hydration beyond water, then I look for the lightweight stuff- pleasant tasting, lightly sweetened, low sodium..This Lemon-lime is pretty blah. For lemon-lime it is standard tasting to me for electrolyte drinks of this ilk. I find that I can make it taste a little more like a "drink" by adding in generous squirt of lemon juice, and/or sweeten it up with a packet of lemonade powder, such as:Wylers https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001EQ5SECor I get a little extra fancy by adding in a lemonade collagen powder:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/Some flavorful greens or berries powder would work too.But as prepared? a bit salty, a little sweet, not much actual flavor when prepared as directed (16 ounces). I tend to use more water, especially if I am adding in anything else. But when I am in the thick of my nasty hot work day, I do not care what it taste like so long as I feel energized, hydrated, and not at all dizzy, run down or faint. But still, I prefer this with more water added to it regardless. SO more bang for your buck if you think the sugar and/or sodium is too high. Just use half a packet, or use a lot more water. There are TWO options on this page. A box of 15 single serving packets (great for on the go), and a bag (large packet) that contains 30 servings that you portion out yourself. I hemmed and hawed which one I wanted, and ultimately went for the box of 15 individual packs. I figured a little more versatility as I can tuck some away in my bag for when I am out and about, or I can make up a bottle at home before I head out.

Vital Electrolytes & More, Good For Heat, Illness & Workouts, Tastes Okay To Me But Not To My Son
LADDER Hydration Powder is a good electrolyte powder to keep on hand to prevent or address dehydration from losing fluids from workouts, but it’s also good for preventing or addressing dehydration from heat or illness. I like that it takes such little storage space and doesn’t waste plastic like bottled electrolyte drinks. It also lacks the artificial flavors and colors in mainstream sports drinks. This is a light powder that uses spirulina and beta carotene for color. This powder has the vital essentials with potassium, sodium and magnesium. It seems like the amounts are higher than some popular sports drinks but one scoop makes a 16 oz serving and the amount of powder used can always be adjusted for those who don’t need as much sodium, etc. I like that this also has added Vitamin D, Zinc and calcium. This is sweetened with a mix of stevia and 15g of dextrose per 16 oz serving.I find the lemon lime flavor taste mild, pleasant and not too acidic. It’s salty as expected but I don’t get a heavy mineral taste and can easily drink it when needed. I would definitely drink it if I was ill with a fever, and I have used it when I feel I need more replenishment than regular water after being out in the extreme heat we’ve been having. I simply put a scoop in a shaker cup with water and it dissolves quickly. My 20-year-old needs electrolyte drinks regularly for health reasons, and he doesn’t care for the taste of this LADDER drink. So it’s not a good replacement for his regular drinks for him. I think he’s just so used to stronger flavors and even more sugar in mainstream bottled sports drinks, but I do think he’d drink this when needed if it’s all we had on hand. I find it more drinkable than many similar products and like keeping it on hand as a preparedness product in case of illness and so on. Like it. 4 stars.

Nice & Refreshing
I drink electrolytes on a daily basis and am always interested to try new ones. I likes the idea that this one didn’t have artificial sweeteners. I thought it was interesting that LeBron is the founder of the company. Can’t say it made a big difference other than the fact that I didn’t need to worry about the quality of the products.I thought the flavor was good. Not too sweet and the citrus flavor is refreshing.Overall happy with the “LADDER Sport Hydration Powder, Electrolyte Supplement Drink Mix with Sodium, Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium, Vitamin D, Zinc, No Artificial Sweeteners, NSF Certified for Sport, Lemon Lime, 30 Servings”. I think it is a little on the pricey side but it seems to be of good quality.

Tastes awful!
This may have the optimal amount of electrolytes, but it certainly tastes terrible. I had to water it down to be able to drink it. Also, the packet of powder is huge compared several other brands I have tried. I doubt LeBron drinks his own stuff… it’s not made for a king 😂

Good stuff
First off, this tastes good. You don't have to force it down. I like to drink 16oz before a workout. If I don't, I seem to get muscle cramps on occasion. The scoop is nice in that you can tailor how much product you want to consume. I'm not going to lie though...it's less convenient than the individually packaged alternatives. Compared to IV Hydration, it has less sodium and potassium but adds zinc and Mg. I like the taste of this better. The problem I see, is that the cost per 16oz is pretty high. Not the best value but it is a well-balanced electrolyte hydration mix.
