Consider the value. Sounds too good to be true. Well it's not! The pedal is well made - hard plastic stomp box (and unless you stomp very hard you are unlikely to break it), and it does exactly what it says, reduces noise. It also has a mute function, which could be pretty useful between songs, or changing tunings - especially if you put it after a chromatic tuner. Of course you could buy a Boss version with all the bells and whistles or an MXR version with it's smart monitoring, but for the price this does more than you'd expect. It's definitely a £20 well spent. The only downsides are that the adjustment knobs feel a little flimsy, and the cover is strange to take off, however these factors can easily be overcome with care and attention.

This device works well and does exactly what it is supposed to. As another reviewer has said, if you only use top of the range pedals and leads then you probably won't need one of these. However, my other 4 pedals are Beringer and the leads and power supply are Stagg, so I do need some noise reduction. So if I were giving out stars just on its performance as a noise reducer / mute pedal then it would be 5. But there are some niggles. Another point also raised by another reviewer is that the Behringer instruction leaflets do not cover all aspects of how to use the Send Receive loop to go across pedals. It's simple enough once you know but I recommend downloading the user manual for the Boss NS-2 which is essentially the same product. Their schematic shows how to connect up the pedal train including a reverb pedal and a tuner which is not explained by Beringer. Now for my gripe about the design of the case. All Behringer pedals have the input on the right and output on the left so that a pedal train signal will run right to left. However, the Send Receive loop connectors are in the same orientation so one has to have longer patch cords which cross over in order to fit the loop around the pedal train. If Behringer would just swap those two sockets then shorter patch leads could be used so reducing some unwanted noise and messy lead arrangements. Not something that should put you off buying it but just be aware you will need a couple of longer patch leads. In summary, a good product which at £15 was excellent value but some better instructions and a simple re-design would make it an excellent product.

This product is excellent. It does exactly as it promises to do and does it very well. It stacks up very well alongside the Boss equivalent noise reduction pedal (itself a great item but at a premium cost) for a fraction of the cost. It does not have a metal case but is certainly robust enough. If you look after your kit anyway this is not an issue since you will seldom need to switch it off. It surprises me when people talk about stuff getting wrecked - perhaps they don’t care about keeping kit serviceable. Behringer make some excellent and very affordable products, this being one. If you are looking for a noise reduce to calm down the noise from distortions and overdrives etc, this item will do it very well and you will save yourself the better part of £70. Just to say that as usual, Amazon are a fabulous company to deal with - item delivered barely 18 hours after the order.

Just doesn't do the job. Bought this to see if I could eliminate hiss from my Stratocaster but it simply made it worse. This company does make some good budget pedals but this is not one of them. I tried using 2 and 4 leads but nothing really worked and, in my opinion, the hiss was louder! I would not recommend this pedal to anyone except Satan.

For the price of this pedal it shouldn't be this good. It's on par with other more expensive similar pedals. I chose this over some others because it has a send and recieve loop. Gate the noise early but set the threshold on how it sounds later in your signal chain. Best of both worlds, almost like having a gate at 2 points. The pedal has a reduction and a mute mode on it. I use the reduction mode because I find the mute mode works a little strange. In reduction mode you can turn the pedal off and it bypasses. In mute mode the pedal gates the noise when it's OFF and it mutes your guitar when it's ON. That is weird to me but I guess it could be useful for some players.

After almost two years with it, I can safely say it's okay, it does the job okay. The build quality isn't the greatest, which is expy with the price. It doesn't 100% reduce noise, but it helps reduce it. Though I am still getting a little noise (which might be caused by something coming after my noise gate, but I'm not sure). If you've got the money, I'd go for a higher noise gate, such as the Boss pedal this is copying. But in a pinch, it does the job. If you don't have as much money then again this would do the job. (I do plan to save up and upgrade to a higher end noise gate pedal)

Without plugging this in there is little noise but this creates more noise than existed already. Never used it since discovering where the noise was coming from, but missed the return deadline. Would not recommend

THE GOOD: -It works. It actually works. -Threshold AND decay knobs make dialing in just the right amount of silence easy. -KILLSWITCH. This Mute switch is awesome. Flip it, now it's a killswitch. Very handy. -Send & return effect. This is pretty cool, but does no good for me since in my rig, I already have send & return THE BAD: -This thing is CHEAP. It is made of plastic, and is very light, so I wouldn't go dropping it off the back of a truck or anything. -NO POWER SUPPLY. There is no power supply that comes with this pedal, and finding out where the 9V battery goes is annoying and took me and my buddies about 15 minutes to figure it out. There are two little buttons at the hinge of the actual button of the pedal, you need to push both of those in with paperclips, or an AUX cable will do nicely (Search on YouTube "Behringer battery replacement." You'll find it). Very annoying and frustrating, and does not make for a quick switch at a gig. I am currently using this for my vocal rig to replace an expensive rack-mount dbx compressor and gate that just doesn't work properly anymore, and seems to generate noise of its own. This does fantastically. it DRASTICALLY reduces the buzz in the speakers to a point where we can actually play and not hear it throughout our playing. We cranked up the threshold so we have to be right on top of the mic to be heard through the speakers which is what we want, then we turn the decay up high so we can crank the PA without getting feedback in the mics after singing a line. This thing works, and it works well. I plan on getting on for my bass rig to act as a Killswitch AND a noise gate. Best of both worlds! Without breaking the bank, Behringer has done it again, and made a quality piece of electronics, and though they could have gone with a metal housing, I can't complain. For $25, come on. You'll probably mount it on your pedalboard and never touch it enough to remember it's made of plastic and not metal. This one's a win.

Bon rapport qualité prix, c'est même dingue a ce prix là ! alors attention, ce n'est pas haut de gamme non plus et ce n'est un noise gate a proprement parler ... Oui c'est plutot un gate et un switch qui coupe le son ! on peut choisir la fonction via un interrupteur .... Pour la fonction gate, on peut régler le déclenchement et sensibilité, les réglages ne sont pas ouf de sensibilité, mais basique et finalement efficace ... Le gate n'est pas ultra sensible mais a faible puissance pour la maison et les petits enregistrements, je dirais ça passe grave ! il pourrait convenir pour d'autres instruments je pense sans soucis ;) Mais pour le prix, c'est cadeaux, après c'est du basique, c'est plastique, c'est du chi noix, mais ça fais le job pour nous les gueux a petits budget ;)) Mais dans l'attente de rassembler les fonds pour acheter un gate type "Zulu" mais a 6 fois le prix ! Bah, ça dépanne bien !!! En revanche si vous avez la bourse pour acheter direct le top, bien évidement, ça sert a rien, acheter le top directement ;) Sinon c'est cool
