Don’t be fooled by amount to pellet size!
Would of got 5 stars but I’ve ordered these many times as my turtle loves them. But because they are advertised as 12-ounce, 45-ounce and 1530g I purchased the 1530g unaware that the pellet size is a lot smaller! Thinking I was just ordering a bigger amount of pellets. Now it won’t let me return them!! Why can they not be advertised as small, medium and large pellet sizes!?

Perfect for a fussy yellow slider turtle
My fussy eater enjoys 'hunting' these as they float on the surface. He had refused other turtle foods but this one is perfect for him. Quality product and a great price for the huge amount you receive.

my pets were always a bit picky about sinking food and any general dried or complete food but love this. saves giving fresh fish and also reduces mess as well as ensuring vitamins and nutrients required are taken in. wont change from zoo med floating food

Massive size, well worth the money!
Arrived well packaged and was quite shocked at the size! 200g normally costs me around £7 in pet shops, you get 1.5kg here, saving a fortune, will keep my 2 map turtles well fed for the next 3 years or so! Highly Recommended!

Only food my turtles eat

I bought these to replace Hikari turtle pellets that my local pet shop stopped bringing in. The pellets were larger than expected, but is still a good fit for one of my older terrapins. Most importantly is that my terrapins get the ideal nutrients required for their age. Hikari turtle pellets were at 40% protein content, but these Zoo Med maintenance ones are only 25% protein content. Hence, it may be a good idea to supplement it with some higher protein treats (e.g. shrimps).
