Great but not for indoors
Really nice camera, solid metal build so not flimsy and great quality at Day or Night for it’s price… best in it’s price range.I’m running them at 1080N (1mp) because my current DVR only supports that and they still look great, I’d recommend a Hikvision DVR with these camera’s since you get a lot more features to improve them like shutter speed, audio, delay etc even more when u connect to the DVR using a browser, Also make sure you use a good 75 ohm coax cable since I found the camera would ghost (double vision) when I used a lower quality cable. The night vision is decent but I used the DVR coaxial control to access the camera and change the exposure to HLC mode so you get full night vision but once motion activates my bright outdoor lights, it triggers into full colour at night after 5 seconds for a bit of extra security. It didn’t seem to do it in other exposure modes and Some DVRs allow u to change the switch timer from 5 down to 1 second. You really can’t knock them for £19 unless you’re buying them as a indoor camera then I wouldn’t recommend them, they don’t seem to be great indoors, maybe in a warehouse they might look okay but definitely not in a small building.

The 40m 2.8mm turret camera isn't 1080p
I bought both the 20m and the 40m 2.8mm turret cameras. The 20m is working fine and is 1080p as the description states. However the 40m one is actually 1440p and NOT 1080p which is why it doesn't work well with my HD DVR from CCTV42. It only works with a resolution of 960H. I have kept it as I wanted the stronger IR lights for better night time recording but I am still disappointed with not being able to use it at 1080p.

Installation issues
This product has a different bracket housing for the CAMERA. The design will be an issue if you install it or replace your existing camera as an upgrade. See photos for other makes of bracket which is standard on most but not this. Installing as new will make adjusting and testing camera angles Difficult and very challenging at heights. The bracket is screwed and holds down the lens ring to the camera. The lens ring is the last to cap off in all other makes. For example QVIS, BW etc. Next point if you are replacing like for like camera: same spec but different brand you will the housing bracket is an issue. 3 screw supporting as opposed to 4 screw supporting bracket. The order of camera installation is also illogical, the lens cover is not secure unlike other makes, it’s not vandal proof. The lens cover should be screwed on to the bracket. The camera should be free and not locked down onto the bracket as there is not freedom to move and adjust. You will have to re-drill and re-hole this bracket to fit your old. You will have to remove old bracket to accommodate this. Adjusting and testing the camera for best angle is adjusting lens cover, bracket and camera all-together and NOT Independently.

Excellent Camera
An excellent alround camera both day picture and night picture are incredible hIkvision is a leader now in cctv and the picture quality proves this i installed 16 of these cameras at a job and after 3 weks installed they caught two intruders on a site who gave there faces after they tried to destroy the cctv system the quality is very good and well worth the money. I have an older hikvision dvr and must say the cameras worked no problem once the vido coding was changed to one the dvr can recognise. well worth every penny keep up the good work hikvision.

Superb multi-use camera.
Great camera! Works fine with my latest Swann PRO 4575 DVR. The input and output lead includes a push button which when pressed for 5 seconds gives you a choice of four types of video output. It even works with my cheap 7” monitor that I use for keeping an eye open on the goings on outside while aids watch TV. Night viewing is excellent, as with the wide angle of view.As previously stated, the case is made of plastic but as its Way out of reach under the eves it doesn’t matter.I’ve just ordered a second one. £27 well spent!

Absolute bargain and perfect for small rooms
I have to say quite simply these little cameras are fantastic value for moneyHaving just installed a 5mp Swann system and 4 cameras, I wanted to extend in further with a couple of internal domes. They worked straight out of the box with the Swann DVR set at "Auto" and the image is nice and sharp and it will record at 25fps.As others have mentioned, the colours are not quite right but a bit of tinkering on the Swann system sorted that very easily.I am that impressed with them I have ordered 2 more today

Very happy. Wide angle view.
Bought this to replace a camera that came with the Ankke cctv system, the camera didn’t have a wide enough field of view. I have attached a pic taken from the THC-T120 2.8mm and it is a massive improvement. On the previous camera I couldn’t see the road, I could only see the back halve of the car and could barely see the driveway. 2.8mm seems to make a big difference over 3.6mm.
