Fry's Turkish Delight British Chocolate Bar x 12

The candy bars arrived on time and are very delicious!

Been eating these since I was a child. Was a nice surprise to be able to get them on Amazon. Delicious

British hubby has me hooked on these.

Just as I remember and just as delicious

so happy to be able to find chocolate covered rose flavored turkish delight again.i've gotten lazy in my old age and don't want to be bothered making the candy from scratch. these are not as good as home made, but they're not low quality like most mass produced candies and chocolates. the chocolate coating has a good snap to it like chocolate should, not the mushy stuff that you get on most candy bars these days that feels and tastes like its made of wax. the gelatin filling is neither soft nor firm, but somewhere in the middle, the rose flavor is strong without being over powering.the size of each individually wrapped candy is fairly large for a turkish delight. i boggle at people saying they were disappointed in the size. how big can you possibly want something like this? I cut each one into six pieces and find each one of those bites is quite enough, but to each their own i suppose. if you're expecting 9 full size snickers bar sized turkish delights you'll be disappointed.the shipping was long, but worth the wait, and the product was no worse for the wear. though i don't know if that would be a true statement during the heat of summer.

Having traveled through Canada and the UK I discovered mass produced candy bar form turkish delight.I have been hooked since my first bite.Living over in the USA, we don't have a commercial turkish delight candy bar. We do have the traditional cubes of turkish delight that is rolled in coconut shavings or powdered sugar. And that is a very nice treat. But sometimes you just crave the chocolate covered bar like Fry's or (in Canada) Nestle's "Big Turk" bar.So, if I want this more commercial style of Turkish Delight, i must order it from overseas from someone I can trust.The Fry's version that you see here is IMO the better of the commercial, mass produced candy bar form. Fry's is fruitier, softer (for a more delicate feel in your mouth) and the chocolate covering it is much smoother and less waxy then the Nestle version.All those observations being made, I prefer the Fry's over any other commercial confectioners brand.So that brings me to my review of "Spellbound From England".I can't say anything bad about this retailer. They deliver my turkish Delight quickly over the Atlantic and it always arrives in fine condition. No broken or squashed bars. No pieces of flaked off chocolate flying everywhere when opening the package.My orders (i have placed multiple orders with these fine people) always fresh and tasty.I give Spellbound From England 5 stars. They get the job done in a timely manner.Good people!
