Seagate 2.5-Inch 2 TB BarraCuda Internal Hard Drive - Silver

Worked great until my lap top broke so hubby took drive out and put it into a portable case to use alongside my new laptop

So far it’s working really well, my son’s PS4 was lagging and then it stoped working. After new hard drive he is very happy.

Went into a PS4, works much better and faster. Games respond quicker and smoother, are more fun now

Does what it says on the box . Great hard drive easy to install and ready to go out the box no formatting for my ps4

Personally I’ve used this in my PS4 and had no problems with it so far but only let down is he cost. Bought a external SATA HDD case so I can further use to old PS4 hard drive that came with it. Not much to be said apart from it works and it stores whatever crap you throw at it. A+

Failed within 24 hours of installation to my PS4.

Excellent service and a good price. I needed to replace my failed HDD urgently so contacted the vendor to request expedited shipping and the HDD arrived the following afternoon. The hard drive works as expected and was an easy 'plug and play' with my HP laptop. (Seagate 2TB BarraCuda SATA 6Gb/s 128MB Cache 2.5 inch 7mm Internal Hard Drive)

So I purchased the Seagate 2TB BarraCuda to upgrade my PS4 storage space and it's doing just that. I was able to install it with ease, no problems whatsoever, but as soon as I booted up my system, I was able to hear a somewhat, drilling or grinding noise coming from the drive, somewhat like a vibrating noise. It's working, I have 1.77 TB space on my system, but it continues to make the same sound. I have looked around the web and have read a lot about these sounds being due to failure or close to failure, much about Seagate being a bad brand, so I am hoping that this is just a sound that will go away. As I said, it's working, and I do want to give it some time before I decide to return it or exchange it. I will change my rating as soon as it has calmed, or if it fails on me ( since I don't have much downloaded either way ). Many reviews say their hardrive is working flawlessly and quietly, mine isn't, but I do want to give it a chance. Switching hardrives and uploading software to the system is easy, but it all depends on the hardrive itself. WD, Hitachi, Samsung and all other brands are not perfect, neither is Seagate, but reviews will always help, so will a little research. You get what you paid for, but do so at your own risk, I did :( It’s been months and it has been working flawlessly. I’m sorry for the one star, but that will change with this update

This drive works well. Previously I bought a Hybrid Seagate type in the 2.5 inch form factor drive. Over time I bought a fair number of these drives. I mostly buy the Seagate type. Between the regular type and Hybrid type in these drives I did not notice much difference because I use them as external USB3 backup drives. I also buy the external USB3 enclosures. I did find with internal drives it is better to get the Hybrid type. Seagate has excellent Hybrid drives. When using the drive as an external USB drive I found very little difference or any difference between the regular drive and the Hybrid drive. I am using this drive for backing up files, saving restore points, and making a system image. Over the years I found these drives to be highly reliable, and they work well. I found the 2.5 inch form factor drive to be a bit faster than the equivalent larger form factor drive. I guess this is because the platter and head mass is lower, and thus allows for faster mechanical movement. In a desktop type environment to have the more robust operation over time, I would install the larger form factor type drive of this series or the Hybrid version. If you are running on Windows 7, it is best to stay at 2TB or lower in size for the drive. Above 2TB Win7 cannot do an image backup. Third party software will be required. I would strongly recommend this drive type. Excellent drive quality for the price. I am using a fair amount of these in laptops and for external backups.

A Good Product; my choice. Thinking about buying again.
