Pink lady...
After being underwhelmed by the results of the L'Oreal Intense Ombres kit [my fault for accidentally buying the strongest one], I decided to work with the new bleach in my hair rather then cover it back up by finally trying a shade of intense pink hair dye over it... Renbow says that the Crazy Color range lasts between 4 to 8 washes, and for the low price [RRP ÂŁ4 per 100ml pre-mixed bottle] I thought that you can't really complain with that. I choose the shade Cyclamen as it has the best of three worlds; it a hint of red and purple at first, with a strong undertone of pink. The scattered customer reviews on Amazon UK stated that the pink undertone is meant to grow stronger as the dye fades. _ I didn't pay much attention to the guide on the bottle as my hair is really thick so 15 minutes developing time seemed totally wrong for me, so instead I applied the dye into my freshly washed and still damp hair with gloved hands, starting at the roots, and remembered that when I previously used a semi-permanent dye it advised placing a plastic cap over my head to lock in heat, to help the pigments develop. So I improvised and paced a carrier bag over my hair. I have thick hair so decided to leave the dye on my hair for an hour to let it really sink in [it's vegetable dye so you won't damage your hair], and I then rinsed my hair until water ran clear, but didn't use shampoo, conditioner, or any other products on my hair. I also remember a magazine article where a hairstylist who works in TV said to leave your hair for 48 hours after being dyed, before washing it again. So that's something I always do now. _ The resulting pink/purple shade was really vivid on the blonde sections of my hair and gave the light brown [dyed] sections a strong purple tint. The brown sections started to noticeably fade away after 4 washes, but the blonde sections of my hair remained vivid after the red and purple undertones faded and left the bright pink in my hair. I ended up getting over a month's wear out of the colour - I pinpointed the wear at 11 washes before the shade faded enough to need refreshing. It took another half dozen or so washes to totally remove the colour from my hair. Considering the low price of this dye I was delighted with how well it lasted. I know, from having tried a La Riche Directions dye in the past, that vegetable hair colourants stain skin - I myself had a purple forehead [plus shoulders and boobs from using the shower to rinse the dye from my hair] for three days after application, no matter how much I scrubbed my skin. I was put of trying a similar dye again, but now that I've taken the plunge I can confirm that the Crazy Color dye doesn't stain as badly - it will wash straight off skin with warm water and soap. Another plus point with this dye is that when I was caught out in the rain the colour didn't run - last time the rain caused the dye to run and stain my skin again & ruin my top...

Vibrant coloured dye
This colour is so vibrant. It takes to dark hair and to bleached hair with the results obviously being different shades for both. I think it is quite long lasting too compared to other pinks by this brand. I was my hair every other day and it takes about two weeks before it starts to feel like its fading. In my photo i’ve attached to show the colour, my hair has probably been washed 4 times approximately. The colour of the label is not true to how it actually comes out. The label feels like it should be more of a dark purply pink, its very much not.

Lovely vibrant temporary haircolour
Crazy Colour is my go-to dye when I want a bright colour... I've been using it for well over 10 years. It is advertised as temporary, which means it's permanent but fades over time, like all vibrant hair dye. It works best over bleached hair which is more porous and light enough for it to stand out. I would not recommend if your hair is dark and has not been bleached. Pros: conditions lightened hair. Smells lovely. Very pigmented. Short processing time. Enough in one one bottle to do an entire pixie cut with a bit left over. Washes off hands easily with baby oil and exfoliation. Easy to apply from bottle. Trusted brand. Great value. Colours true to sample if applied on hair bleached to very pale blonde. Shade Cyclamen covers orange hair well if you can only lighten a few shades. Cons: If you get this on any clothes or surfaces while you're dyeing it will not wash out. Use an old towel every time you wash your hair or it will stain. Long hair can cause dye marks on your face if you lie on your hair. Ruins pillows but what she doesn't? Sometimes it will seem like you used it all but if you stand the bottle upside down for 5 mins you can get a lot more out.

STAINS
I forgot how much crazy color stains everything when it's fresh in, scalp, hands, pillowcases... Good news though: it covers blue hair dye! It doesn't make it pink by any means, but it turned it a Cadbury's purple, not patchy, and hasn't washed out immediately like a lot of magentas do, turning salmon pink in the process. This will stain virgin hair, which is fine if you're looking for a hint of colour, but be warned: this doesn't wash off of virgin hair like most temporary dye does. My roots (I usually bleach, but am in the in-between stage of roots before the next top up) just look dark brown instead of the usual mousy where the pink has gone over them. I don't mind this because my natural hair colour makes it look like it's thinning, however if you have even lighter hair than I do and you're looking to colour it for a party...use a spray in.

Will eventually turn hair green.
I originally had very faded out blue hair that had some green tinges mostly at he roots. Anyway. My hair was practically white at this stage. I dyed it red from April to October when I wanted a change and dyed it brown which went purple so I dyed black with raven manic panic and did so for a few months until I started using this for touch ups I noticed my hair wasn't fading to grey like with manic panic but when I decided to use colour b4 to finally achieve brown.... It simply turned bright and I mean bright turquoise/green. I have used 4 colour rinses including the vit!am in c method..... I eventually got it to fade enough to dye brown with a very good permanent brown hair dye in a caramel shade which covered it until about 4 days later and my hair was greener than ever. It looked hideous so now I'm stuck using these again until the black dye grows out. /.\ I was looking up on dying my hair the last time with the remainder In the bottle; it does indeed have a lot of blue undertones whereas manic panic raven, is simply that, jet black....

Turned out great!
I had my hair professionally bleached June last year and over the year it lightened to what it is in the before pic. So, already working with a light tone that's how it appeared immediately after colouring. I used gloves for most of the process having used fire red many years before. But most of the colour on my hands were gone by the following morning. Minus 1 star for the price as I remember buying these for ÂŁ1.99/2.99 in hair shops. The 'matching' lippie is Nar's Under My Thumb.

Great colour without harming your hair
I’ve been using Crazy colour hair dyes forever and they are fab. Easy to use, great colour and coverage and they leave my hair soft and undamaged. **Tip- Bright colours typically need upkeep - I add conditioner to a third of the bottle of colour and when I’m showering just use it as you would do your normal conditioner (leave it in for 5 mins) and rinse - keeps my colour vibrant and shiny - just remember to wash your hands straight away in the shower! Works a treat each and every time 👍🏼

Highly pigmented colour payoff
I know I love crazy colour hair dyes, this is super pigmented (too pigmented given I wanted to fade it to a pastel shade) I used literally 3 drops and a load of conditioner and it came out a fairly flourescent pink (think highlighter shade). After one wash it calmed down a bit and when mixed with one drop of hot purple faded exactly as I wanted. If you didn't want to fade it it lasts well too and it doesn't stain everywhere or your body or pillows.

Très très satisfaite ! Excellent produit
