Great function and value
I don’t write many reviews due to choice, but occasionally I will come across a product which excels in both function and value. If have had this chair for one year now and use it in my office sitting nearly ten hours a day. This chair simply excels in comfort and ergonomics beyond any chair I have had in the past. When first shopping for a chair, I was considering spending much more, up to $1,000 due to my needs. I decided to spend about one third of that with the PatioMage. It was easy to assemble and seemed to be good quality from the start. My first impression was just how good the seating height was, especially allowing my forearms to be parallel to the floor and aligned perfectly with my keyboard and mouse. The lumbar support in this chair is also perfect. I don’t use the footrest feature, but this is a nice touch if you want to lean back and take a nap. I am compelled to give this chair five stars for function and value. My only minor grievances with this chair is the armrests move out of adjustment a little to easy fore/aft and swivel. The fabric feels slightly abrasive after long hours of sitting. The wheels are not as high of quality as the rest of the chair, but can remain rolling well with a little lubrication. I highly recommend you get a glass or plastic mat under your chair if you have carpet, even if low pile for ease of mobility. None of these minor complaints have given me any regret, but I want to be completely forthcoming with my review. If you sit in an office for a living, it is important to have a good chair and you will be very pleased with this purchase.

Affordable Ergonomic Chair
I have either sat in or owned several types of office-oriented chairs. Also, I have built all of the ones I have owned and some for others that have bought them. For reference, I am 6 foot 2 inches at about 200 pounds fitting into this Ergonomic Office Chair. Pros: - GREAT build instructions, very clear and concise. - Solid materials, most of the crucial components are made of metal and the plastic is thick and sturdy. - Nice packaging, the box wasn't too much but definitely a good presentation at your doorstep. - Comfortable, but in the right way. - TONS of adjustments, lumbar, headrest, bottom, armrest, ect.. - Good looking chair in my office! Cons: - The instructions are really great, but the chair is seriously pretty solid and heavy. It is difficult to hold some of the parts and build them at the same time. So, make sure you have some helping hands available and DON'T hurt yourself. This doesn't warrant less stars because I am happy it has heavy and well built materials. - It doesn't like lean backwards in a sense that the entire chair rocks back. It has a lever on the side that you can latch or unlatch which only will lean back the back part of the chair. This isn't a bad things because it actually is a bit more versatile this way. But be aware of this if you plan to buy it. - Not much else, I will update this review when I get more sitting hours on the chair. This chair seriously competes with more expensive ergonomic chairs I have built and used. The best part is, it is MUCH more affordable. It is important to note that the chair is ERGONOMIC, which means it isn't suppose to be SUPER soft padding. The mesh padding is comfy but it is a bit harder than a full on cushion. This is the ERGONOMIC part of it, you want the add extra support to make you sit up straight instead of being slouched or sucked into an overly padded chair. What you find is the over achieving cushion chairs actually make your back hurt more than this ergonomic one after a full day of sitting. You can adjust this one easily and move your sitting position to keep the blood flow going. I personally really like the foot/leg rest that slides out from under the chair. I can pull that out and lean the chair back into a kind of sudo recliner position. This is great if you are watching tv or in a meeting and not activity sitting up and typing. As previously stated, if you are inexperienced to building office chairs. Have a helping hand, this thing is on the heavy side. Like I said, made up of really great parts and this ISN'T a negative. Overall it is a GREAT chair and I recommend buying this for its class.

Good Chair out the box, excellent chair with some additions
Title: Elevating Comfort to Perfection: PatioMage Ergonomic Mesh Office Chair Review Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) The PatioMage Ergonomic Mesh Office Chair with 3D Adjustable Armrest and High Back is, in many aspects, an almost perfect chair straight out of the box. As a software developer spending long hours in a chair, I sought the ideal combination of comfort and functionality. While the chair boasts great adjustability and a thoughtful leg rest with recline, a few shortcomings were effortlessly addressed with the addition of Aloudy Ergonomic Memory Foam Office Chair Armrest Pads and a Cooling Gel Seat Cushion. Here's my breakdown of this ergonomic office throne: **Excellent Adjustability (5/5):** The chair's adjustability is a standout feature. From the high back to the 3D adjustable armrests, PatioMage provides users with a customizable seating experience. The leg rest with recline is a game-changer, offering a comfortable way to stretch out during those long coding sessions. **Enhanced Armrest Comfort (4/5):** While the armrests are adjustable, the side-to-side functionality and additional padding were lacking. This was easily remedied with the Aloudy Memory Foam Armrest Pads, turning a good armrest into a great one. The added padding and lateral support make a significant difference in overall comfort. **Breathable Yet Firm Seat (3/5):** Straight out of the box, the seat cushion is breathable but leans towards the firmer side. As a software developer spending extended hours seated, the initial firmness made prolonged use less comfortable. However, the PatioMage chair's breathable design serves its purpose well. **Perfecting with Aloudy Accessories (5/5):** The addition of Aloudy Ergonomic Memory Foam Armrest Pads and a Cooling Gel Seat Cushion transforms this chair into a 5-star comfort haven. The memory foam armrest pads address the lack of lateral support and padding, while the gel seat cushion provides the softness and cooling effect needed for prolonged comfort. **Ideal for Long Hours (5/5):** For software developers or anyone spending extended hours in a chair, the combination of the PatioMage chair with Aloudy accessories is a winning formula. The thoughtful design of the chair, coupled with the added comfort from memory foam armrest pads and a gel seat cushion, ensures a pleasant and ergonomic seating experience. **Wish List Features (4/5):** While the Aloudy accessories elevate the chair to perfection, it's worth noting that these features could have been included out of the box. A slightly softer seat cushion and more comprehensive armrest adjustments would have made this chair a flawless choice without the need for additional accessories. **Conclusion:** In conclusion, the PatioMage Ergonomic Mesh Office Chair, with a few thoughtful enhancements, becomes a comfort haven for those seeking an ergonomic and adjustable seating solution. The chair's great adjustability, leg rest with recline, and breathable design lay a solid foundation. The addition of Aloudy Memory Foam Armrest Pads and a Cooling Gel Seat Cushion turns it into a 5-star comfort powerhouse, ideal for individuals spending extended hours in front of a computer. While I wish these features were standard out of the box, the combination of the PatioMage chair and Aloudy accessories has undoubtedly perfected my seating experience. Highly recommended for those prioritizing comfort and functionality in their workspace.

Quality chair backed by a good company
This is the second PatioMage office chair that I own and both have been of good quality. I work at a desk for most of the day and a good office chair is quite important. A long work day can take a lot out of me and I wanted my chair to be an accessory that can help me take quick breaks on the days that I feel stressed. My previous PatioMage chair was cloth-covered and I wore out its cushion and arm rest. When I was looking for a replacement, I contacted the PatioMage customer service for help in purchasing the same chair as it had been good to me for the few years that I used it. The model I had was discontinued but they directed me toward this newer, mesh chair and I gotta say, I'm very happy with the recommendation. I made the purchase during the summer when it was still hot and I immediately appreciated how much cooler I felt with the fan blowing through the mesh directly onto my back. The mesh was quite elastic and comfortable. In fact, I didn't miss having a foam cushion at all. Just like my old chair, the seat back can be released to fold down and an extendable leg rest can be pulled out, allowing me to fully recline and just rest my eyes and my entire body for a few minutes. To someone looking at the chair, it may seem like I'm in a precarious position, but it is quite stable. It's amazing how a short rest can get me through the rest of the day. Something else I like about this chair is the wide shoulders. I'm not a big person but I feel that the wide back is great when I'm reclined because I have some freedom of movement to position my body just right. In conclusion, office chairs are not cheap but for someone like me who works at a desk every single day, I feel that this PatioMage chair is a good investment. It's not a crazy price like some of the famous brands, but I feel that it does everything those would do and more.

Incredible Comfort and Rock-Solid Stability
I don't usually write reviews, but this PatioMage chair deserves one. I spend a lot of time at my desk, so finding a chair that checks all the boxes was crucial for me, and this one absolutely delivers. Comfort: First off, the comfort level is unmatched. The mesh back is breathable (huge plus for staying cool), and the ergonomic design provides excellent lumbar support. I can sit in this for hours every day without any of the back fatigue I used to get from my old chair. The adjustments are intuitive, so it was easy to dial in the perfect fit for my height. Durability & Stability: This thing is built like a tank. It is incredibly sturdy and durable. You can tell immediately that high-quality materials were used. One of my biggest pet peeves with office chairs is that "loose" feeling they get over time, but this chair is rock solid. It is not wobbly at all. Whether I’m sitting upright or leaning back, it feels completely stable and grounded. Customer Service: I also want to give a shout-out to their customer service. They are top-notch! They were super responsive and helpful, which really gave me peace of mind with this purchase. If you are on the fence, just get it. It’s a fantastic value for the quality you get. Highly recommended!

Listen to the 1-Star Reviews. Waste of Money. Do Not Buy This. Look for Another Chair
This is the first review I've ever written for Amazon and yeah, I'm kinda pissed. As a result I am going to be incredibly honest and also brutal about it while also providing pictures. I'd be a lot more pissed if I'd paid full price for this piece of crap but thankfully I bought it on a Black Friday sale. Still, complete waste of $200+. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. LOOK FOR ANOTHER CHAIR. Basically, this chair was fine until it very suddenly wasn't and I wish that I'd looked at the 1 star reviews more thoroughly before buying it. I'd noticed that it leaned a little over time but hadn't paid much attention to that because I thought it was a quirk in the reclining. Turns out I should have paid attention to that because it was the bottom mechanism which connected to the chair both bending AND snapping itself into several pieces. I had to forcibly bend it back in place just to take the pictures I took and its still warped beyond reason and if you look at the pictures, the metal literally RIPPED in several places like paper. The weight limit is advertised as 440 lb and I weigh 265. I bought this in November 2023 and by April of 2024 the bottom metal part has literally snapped and warped in multiple places. This accounts for the cheap material that it is made from. It LOOKS sturdy. It LOOKS impressive. Even when you put it together you'll be like "Oh this is nice." It is a complete and total visual lie. It absolutely isn't. Multiple low reviews here account for what is actually decent material for everything else on the chair BUT the metal. The metal is so craptacular that it warps and breaks like PAPER with little provocation. Last week I heard snapping noises and couldn't figure out what it was. The snapping noises became more frequent over time. It was the chair. And about 30 minutes before writing this review, as I leaned back while writing a paper, I found myself leaning further and further until I very suddenly hit the floor with the chair tilted and bent at a crazy angle thus making it cheap AND an actual hazard. This is one of those products designed to last only until the warranty for it runs out and then, after that, it's only a matter of time before it collapses. Thankfully I have another chair -- a very old one -- that i didn't get rid of and it'll make due but an expensive lesson has been learned. I will never buy another product from this maker again and I highly suggest that you don't either. Spend the money on a decent chair or at least a cheap one from which you can get by. The bells and whistles are nice and that's what enticed me to the chair to start with. But the actual metal -- the thing that holds the chair together and causes it do what it advertises -- is undeniable garbage. If you bought one and are still under warranty, return it. It's only a matter of time before it breaks. Buyer undeniably beware.

Great chair! Glad I bought it
I am a real person who paid for the chair after looking at a bunch of options and reading so, so many reviews. I love it! The mesh is supportive all day, the arm rests are adjustable, the seat portion can be adjusted forward or backward relative to the back. I apparently don’t ever sit far enough back to use the headrest but it’s adjustable to the right height, and lumbar moves too. All in all, really pleased.

Functional, but yeah, it's a cheap chair, not worth over $200 (++ customer service!)
First off, I bought this chair to write a 5 star review. It's replacing a high quality, 25 year old commercial office chair, so my expectations were already going to be a problem. But I'm sorry, but this chair falls short (probably by at least $100). Assembly: Excellent. Easy for anyone to do. It did take me about 45 minutes, but I do what your teachers back in grade school always taught you, i.e. read everything first, ensure all the parts are there, accounting for every screw or bolt all the way through, before starting. The only hiccup was a mislabeling on the screw bubble pack. The parts listed "Spare Screws" are actually the "M6*16=9PCS", and the three screws under the M6*16 label, are three spares. It kind of throws you off for a second, unless you read the directions up front, and do that bolt by bolt accounting. Materials & Construction: The gas piston may or may not be an upgraded version, but everything else on the chair is cheap, malleable plastic. (Hint: “Malleable” is not a good trait for a chair that needs to support a 200+ pound adult). The chair will flex all over the place. The base seems solid, and that's a huge plus for any chair, particularly one on wheels. The wheels? I knew that they'd be cheap, and had upgrades ready before I opened this product's box. Any office chair with plastic wheels will under-perform, period (and I'm talking about the wheels themselves, not the wheel stem, which is also cheap plastic). You want rubber wheels with steel stems. Functionality: I was VERY unhappy with this chair, until I looked at the original advertisement, and noticed that there are three back positions, 90 degrees, 105, and …. way, way back. Unless you lean forward when you pull the lever, the chair naturally seems to fall into that 105 degree back tilt slot, which is impossible to use for working at a desk. Both the back and the arms can be extended in and out (arms) or forward and back (chair back), only by adjusting bolts beneath the chair. Practically speaking, if your chair like mine will be for solo use, that doesn't matter, since almost no one changes those adjustments again, after being set the first time. However, that means that this chair is a no-go for an office environment, where different users are common. Nor is it good, for say, a large husband and smaller wife, or adults and children, where both use the chair interchangeably. The lumbar support mechanisms are simply primitive. I also agree with other reviewers that this chair comes nowhere near supporting 440 pounds. I weigh 270 pounds, and this poor chair is bearing it's load very poorly. Capacity is 200 pounds, tops. 20 years ago, I could pick up an office chair, and 90% of them would be decent pieces of funtional furniture. Today, the selection available is greater than ever before, but 95% of them are absolute junk. That includes famous, professional $1500 brands. Unfortunately, there chair is just more of the same. While it's serviceable, it is JUST that, and no more. I expect it to last 1 to 3 years, whereas my last, truly professional chair, lasted 25 years. I expect comfort and ergonomics to be major weaknesses on this chair. If after some actual use, it works out better than expected, I'll update this review. I'll keep it, partly due to the trouble of repacking and returning the chair, and partly to avoid another VERY LONG shopping effort to find the next chair, which will be and equally "cheap chair". Update 7/24/23: After a week or so of use, the piston started losing air. I contacted support, and they immediately responded, and resolved the problem. Thanks!
