Very good book for someone who is at the beginning of the journey of growing and using herbs. It has been very helpful to me at the beginning, it has the information I needed to start with. It covers different aspects of growing and using herbs, including lots of practical tips and ideas. For someone who is more advanced in this topic I think this book might not be enough. Excellent design! High quality images and overall design, which makes it easier to read and to find information. I highly recommend it for someone who is a beginner.

Excellent book

This is a really lovely book. The hardback cover is slightly textured and has the cover design printed directly onto it, giving it a very high quality feel. Inside, the pages are printed on good quality, creamy paper and it's attractively laid out, with columns of text and nice botanical illustrations of the plants. There's also recipes/instructions for preparations using the plants, illustrated using photographs. I'm no expert on the subject and I bought it mostly for the botanical illustrations so I can't comment on how in-depth the content is, but it's certainly a very nice reference book for a lay person like me. I think it would make a lovely gift for someone interested in the subject.

Love what I've read so far. This book is indeed a lovely companion for botanists and beginner herbologists. Each page has a well illustrated insight into each flower and it's use, even including recipes for some. So this can double as a natural remedy cookbook! What is a shame, however was the toll the shipping journey took on this book, as it arrived with some dents in the hardcover... It shouldn't take away from the reading experience but it was a shame to see it in such a condition; should have been packaged better!

Gorgeous book.

This is a beautifully written and illustrated book. One of those books that is a joy to look at, can be picked up and put down every day. Even the hardback cover is lovely. The detail about each plant is both educational and historical, I love reading about the historical medicinal uses and the modern medicinal research - and the recipes for making teas, lotions and tinctures are excellent. It’s not often that a book provides pleasure for its own sake but this one does and I recommend it.
