Elizabeth Keegan, consider yourself hugged! For those with dedicated embroidery sewing machines, this book is fabulous. It explains everything clearly and economically, and not only shows you the wealth of different things you can do with these incredible machines, but how to recreate each one in a trouble free manner, which stabilisers to use, which needles, threads, bobbin threads, tension settings, fabrics. And it works! It covers designs and computers and even has a section on quilting. Its 'need to know' section is great and it completely sorted out all the niggles I had with my new machine, eg an error message saying my top thread was broken when it wasn't (I was threading the machine too quickly - who knew?). In short, buy it!

From start to finish this book takes you through everything. As a beginner having this book by your side to guide you will be invaluable. It's a wonderful read from start to finish and makes you want to start creating straight away.

I have a brother embroidery machine and don't seem to get much time to use it so bought this in the hope it would be a quick reference and give ideas. A great little book to do just that.

I can't put this book down! Everything you need to know is in this book. It's given me more confidence to use my embroidery machine and certainly broadened my knowledge. The principles are the same for whatever sewing machine you are using and where there may be some confusion by way of the age of your machine, the author covers this with clear explanations. This book has taken up permanent residence at the side of my machine which, for me, is testament enough to the information it contains.

Oh my word. The title of this book is 100% accurate. It is utterly comprehensive and the advice, guidelines and instructions are incredibly clear accompanied with equally clear photographs. Doubt I'll ever need or want to buy another embroidery manual. Oh and such a good price for this priceless gem of a book. Gosh I hate being so effusive. Yuck, but I'm just so pleased I bought this book.

Although I have been sewing for 50+ years I am a complete beginner in machine embroidery. I treated myself to a Brother Innovis machine and ordered this book to go with it. It covers everything that you need. It’s well thought out with plenty of illustrations. I would think that a more experienced embroiderer could benefit from it too. It’s bang up to date, covering internet designs and the latest machines. Worth every penny.

Probably the book to buy before you buy an embroidery machine. It covers everything from deciding which machine will suit you best to stitching your first designs. But for me it didn't go into enough depth, nevertheless it is handy to have on the bookshelf to refer to quickly when needed.
