This pen looks stunning. It is a medium weight and fits nicely in the hand. It is 140mm long when closed, 125mm without the cap. The cap is a screw on/off cap and also posts securely by the same mechanism. The section is comfortable (905-11mm) and is very comfortable. The nib is a number 6 Jowo nib unit that comes withthepen is smooth and writes with great flow. It can be removed by simply unscrewing from the section for cleaning etc. (so can be easily replaced by a different one if wanted). I really enjoy using this pen. It comes in a great gift box and packaging. It also arrived quickly. Highly recommend this pen

OK for the price. However, if you have written with a Mont Blanc then this pen is just Ok in terms of smoothness and comfort. It is a fraction of the price of a Mont Blanc and is a nice looking pen if you are not that bothered about writing experience.

I love fountain pens and this is one of the most gorgeous I've seen. I'm a woman and normally prefer pens that are slimmer and lighter weight than this so it takes a bit of time for me to adjust. But it also means that this pen is suitable for both women and men. It's 4 mm (1 9/16 in) in circumference or 14 mm(1/2 in) in diameter; with the cap closed it's 140 mm (5 5/8 in) long; with the cap off it's 127 mm (5 in) [this is just long enough for me to use alone] and with the cap placed on the bottom it's 170 mm (6 3/4 in.) Happily the barrel is just long enough to hold a spare ink cartridge in addition to the one in use. The product information says it weighs 40 grams (1.4 oz.) The fittings are 18 karat yellow gold which is marked on the cap. The nib is beautifully patterned; the cap has proper screw fittings under the nib to close and again near the bottom to get the extended length. It comes in a gift box with certificates and warranty; and, unlike many other similarly priced pens, 4 black ink cartridges and a converter for use with bottled ink are included. It takes the International standard size cartridge. The pen adapted to my writing style quite quickly; it writes very, very smoothly -- no blobs of ink at all and it glides effortlessly over the paper with very little pressure. The varying iridescent blue, green and purple hues of the abalone shells really catch the light; one could almost become hypnotized when twirling the pen. I'm thrilled with this beautiful, interesting pen; it's a wonderful gift for someone else or for oneself.
