Purathick Natural Thickener, 4.4 oz, Thickens Hot and Cold Liquids for People with Dysphagia

My son has used this since he was a year old (he is now 5). Before this, he used the gelmix. It is easy to use, tasteless, goes down smooth. We use it to thicken flavored water for him because thickening regular water doesn't taste good. It gets clumpy sometimes but nothing too bad. We love it. We do wish an HSA or Medicaid could pay for it. But we love this product.

We have found that buying this product on amazing you got more value for your money, as it’s more continent and the quality is just as good as purchasing at our local children’s pharmacy a hour away.

My son has been on thickened liquids for years and until now I have absolutely hated all our options. This has a light flavor when mixed with only water, essence of rice water… which is actually refreshing. Blends well with all juices, milks and a great for popsicles!

We ordered this on a pinch as our daughter is on thickened liquids and the usual brand was out. This was significantly cheaper and worked faster- not requiring the liquid to be hot I order to work.

No matter how well I try and mix it I still end up with clumps every time. I even used a frother and there were still clumps. I haven’t used with hot liquid just warm and cold but it claims it will mix in both. Waste of money as I can’t return these.
