Wasserstein Solar Charger and Mount - Compatible with Blink Video Doorbell - Solar Power for Your Blink Video Doorbell (Black)

The mount has been up for a few weeks now and it's registered the battery at 100% ever since. I followed the instructions and let it sit in the sun charging, although instead of 8 hours I left it out for two full days were it got sun all day and then installed it on the third day. It was very easy to install and the batteries are holding. I don't think it will last though because within a few days it started developing marks on the solar panels like they're delaminating... It doesn't seem to affect the operation, but eventually it'll delaminate completely and stop working. Right now the weather is mild in Southern California, but time will tell how it'll hold up to the summer sun. It's a great product and I am happy with the performance at the moment. Update August 2025: The doorbell has been in this charger since April 2025 and through rain, cold, 110 degree summer days and cloudy days it has not stopped charging... It registers at 100% and stays there. I have changed my review from 4 to 5 stars and highly recommend it. It's paid for itself just in battery savings alone.

So far I've had it up for about 2 weeks and it's working great! My door is in direct sun all day and the heat in the summer was killing any batteries I tired in about a week or less! This hasn't died once and actually shows full battery in the app too, no batteries I tried ever showed full battery before and I was seriously considering getting a different door cam altogether til I found this! Seems sturdy and not a bad price vs expensive batteries I had to constantly change!

If I could give this product zero stars I would have. I purchased this for my doorbell towa Ds the end of 2023, it stopped working as soon as the year mark was coming up. I contacted the seller and they told me they were unable to replace the item or assistance any further. I tried looking for other solar powered devices for my blink doorbell but not many are available. So I repurchased this one thinking that maybe we had bad luck and tried again. Second device purchased Feb 2025. It is now Nov 2025 and the device has agin stopped charging the blink foorbell. We do not touch the solar device hasn’t changed positions we’ve tried troubleshooting and nothing. I reached out to the seller again and was told that there is a 90 day replacement policy. So they know the item stops working after a while which is why they seem to not even offer a 12 month warranty. Do not waste your time it’s stopped working TWICE and they offer no options.

I gave up on RING doorbell because it kept dying. I have Blink cameras, and love them. So, when I saw the BLINK doorbell and a solar rechargeable battery it looked like something worth trying. It's not even in direct sunlight, kind of Northwestern orientation and under the cover of the front porch. But, it has never lost power as of yet, and is in perfect condition... no de-lamination of the solar panels, and weatherproof so far. I really am pleased with it. Update: 3 years with this solar doorbell mount - still works perfectly. Even in so-so sunlight it always is charged and looks new.

It only lasted for two 3 months that’s the only complaint I have. But it work fine while it was working and was easy to installed

Well, after about 4 years of being beat up by the AZ sun it finally stopped working. Though, I am currently in the process of trying to revive it. It stopped taking a charge and I believe it's because the heat and UV damage to the epoxy covered solar panels caused enough damage to either ruin the side that is cracked and too faded to get enough light to charge the single 18650 that is in it. It was good while it lasted and I supposed I could say I got my money's worth out of it. During our time of having it it presented little to no issue with it. The battery inside I believe is still good as it had a voltage of I think it was 2.9v (should be 3.7v) when fully charged. I am currently charging it with a separate 18650 charger to bring it back up in case this is a case of maybe the voltage getting too low and maybe it won't charge because it thinks the battery is bad or something I do wish they would have put the 18650 in a standard battery holder instead of directly soldering the wires on. I am entertained the thought of buying a 3d printer to maybe build something like this that will last longer. I absolutely hate solar products that use epoxied solar cells as they do not last and they do that on purpose so that you come back to buy more. I'd rather a modular setup where you can replace parts for less...but that's just me.

Kind of disappointed. I bought this because the batteries in our cameras are not lasting long. It worked a week or so then just doesn't show us the door anymore or alert us someone is ringing the doorbell. To late to send back. Needless to say, it arrived fast but isnt worth the money. I give it 2 but should be a 1

I purchased this solar charger in 2023 and had no issues until it stopped working after about 2½ years. It was well worth the price and saved us money on batteries. I would definitely purchase it again.
